24 hours of Nursing Duty can Cause Panda Eyes.
As a result of 24 hours nursing duty in the hospital now I got this. My eyes bugs turned darker like the eye of a panda even though this was taken after sleeping when I got home.
The life of a nurse in the hospital is not easy as you know it. We are handling our patient's life. there is no room for mistake, because a single mistake can cause a devastating effect on the side of the patient, one wrong injection or medication can bring harm to patient from mild to worse.
I need to stay alert and there's no time to take a nap because I might miss to change IV fluids and medicine, I also have to tend the other needs of the patient and check them regularly if there is something wrong.
An 8hours of duty is normal, 16 hours of duty is tiring but the 24 hours of nursing duty is like killing yourself.

I can relate because I am like you.. Night duty is the worse but 24 hour duty is the real graveshift.
The reason I quitted working in a hospital. In public health you are obliged to work 8 hours for 5 days a week and you can enjoy holidays esp christmas and new year with the whole family. 😊
after losing the job as pha, I have no choice but to work in the hospital again.
