Why I'm Powering up Earnings From Steem-Roller.com Investment Commissions!

Many, many moons ago, in a time almost now forgotten by the community collective it's said that a complete degenerate novice software engineer stumbled upon an incredibly unique social media crypto hybrid. This fusion of crypto-currency and social media was an absolutely ground breaking idea with an incredible amount of buzz & hype surrounding it. Some even say that this network laid the foundation to change the world as we know it, by essentially being a powerful onboarding or recruitment tool for the average joe into the world of crypto-currency. In a storm of crudely drawn MS-paint whale balls, hacked together web sites and barely operational software this degenerate coder ended up becoming quite popular on the network we now know as STEEM. This platform gave the otherwise down and out degenerate a place to focus his efforts and time on, not only helping himself to gain skills and notoriety but also at the same time working towards building complex services and software for said network. Flash forward a year or two and look to the DPOS witness rankings and you'd see this absolute buffoon had somehow failed upwards into a prestigious top 20 witness position, capping out at rank #7 in the entire world. Life was good, too good. STEEM prices were incredibly high as angel investors and venture capitalists flocked to buy up stake in this revolutionary new way to share your talents and be rewarded with crypto-currency.

This was the golden age of STEEM. The community reveled in their new found social experience while being paid handsomely.

But like all honeymoon periods in the life cycle of any event or relationship the trajectory that the STEEM network was lined up to continue on simply wasn't sustainable. While their was a ton of great individuals creating amazing contributions to entertainment, engineering and community building many bad actors took it upon themselves to exploit what they could about the network, ultimately leading to a large percentage of the communities accumulated wealth to be pilfered and siphoned away.

With the success the degenerate coder / MS-paint dick drawer manifested came obsession ultimately leading to his entire life revolving around trying to create new and exciting content and services for the STEEM people on their network. Ultimately this lead to his personal "in real life" relationships being neglected a fair amount.. which inevitably caused a break up with the woman he'd reckoned he was going to marry. Devistated by this and essentially blindsided by his obcession for working on STEEM related stuff it was the beginning of a dark time. Some people go on with their lives and cope well when they lose the people they love.. this degenerate didn't do this in the slightest, and while not entirely intentional, ended up living with very little regard for his mental or physical health. One thing leads to another and eventually the mental state of the degenerate dick drawing code monkey had gotten to the point he was drinking large amounts of alcohol most days of the week, living with a blatant disreguard for his safety and future, which in turn led to what can only be described as a spectacular dive into the metaphorical gutter on all fronts.

To go from having all the financial backing and love anyone could ask for then to have not only the love leave but also the self love and stability that comes with it all but perish led to further self destructive behaviour. Evetually it came to a point they were no longer able to function due to crippling depression and failing mental as well as physical health. Part of him died when everything went to hell, and that part sat inside of him rotting, polluting his ability to enjoy anything or find motivation to do much more than try to indirectly murder himself with poor eating, copious amounts of drinking and reckless motorcycle riding. However no matter how destroyed everything seemed he couldn't bring himself to swan dive a bridge or kamikaze a semi.. Something still lingered from the time spent creating something for himself on the STEEM network. Their was potential left in him yet, and it would be a travesty to waste potential over an inability to cope with heartbreak and loss.

Fast forward another year and a half or so.. After a few bouts with homelessness, some crippling depression and mental health issues and a blackened outlook and expectation of the future this degenerate crawls out from the gutter, aligning himself once again with what he was once taken over by, the STEEM network. The price of STEEM may be but a mere fraction of what it was, the community may not be a crazed and fevered free for all like it once was, but it's his community. The people that have kept him from that edge of no return.

STEEM is hope and purpose for that degenerate MS-paint artist. A platform and stage to express himself, create unique and complex works of engineering but ultimately it's what he chose over some other way of living. I'm powering up my Steem-Roller.com commission payments in hopes that one day I'll once again be a dolphin that is celebrated and respected by most on our network. Might be a little rough around the edges, might have a terrible habit of fucking swearing and drawing questionable artwork.. But at the end of the day the only reason I've got any real reason or purpose in my life is mostly due to STEEM and the community here.

It doesn't matter if STEEM is $7 USD or $0.07 USD. I'm going to continue growing along side STEEM and focusing on developing lucrative services for the community. We're all here for different reasons. I'm here for community, purpose, and the lulz. Might have a power down running currently but that is only to attempt to feed myself and pay for my witness server. As I get commission profits from my main project Steem-Roller.com I'll be powering them up, at the very least to try and offset the powerdowns required to keep my servers running. We're merely getting things lined up as a community to blossom once again into another golden age of STEEM.
