Japanese Dinner

My friend invited me for a nice Dinner in Japan. We went to a local supermarket and bought a lot different stuff and some sushi and sashimi. I bought some Wagyu for 22 USD per 100g and we prepared it at his place

It is always amazing to see how easy you can get great food in Japan. In Europe it is impossible to get this quality of food and in the Staates you have to take a lease to be able to pay for that quality. My favorite was of course the Wagyu which was melting in my mouth. We had some amazing Tofu too. Highlight of the Dinner was the Miracle Cheesecake from Kyoto I bought for my friend. I don't like cheesecake but this one was so delicious tasted more like a very creamy cake than the usual Cheesecake factory cake. Can't describe it, was too magical!

Ever tried Tofu, do you like it ???

Yummy, all these looks tasty. You and your friend cook well. Thanks for sharing these amazing photos.

you are wvery welcome ! ;)

@knozaki2015 -Those dishes were prepared at home??? Fantastic. I have not seen better presentation even in some high end restaurants. I have tried tofu in Malaysia, Indonesia and Taiwan. I liked the tofu preparations with spice except for the type of tofu they call 'Stinking tofu' Ouch! That one really STANK. I love the cheesecake. Always liked them but the cheesecake in your pictures looks so creamy and soft!

I continued my observations today of nuggets of wisdom from wildlife and wrote a blog 'Dueling Duo - How impalas manage conflict' (click link included) with my wildlife photos and musings with a twist. The cheesecake sounded great. I am a sucker for GOOD cheesecake.

Mmm Those veggies look so fresh and tasty!!! 🥕🥒🍆🍅🌶😎

thanks for share...nice pic.

Nice post...
Thank for shering...

I have not tried wagyu yet.

One simple pattern I see in all of the dishes, with the exception of the cheesecake...

It's all very minimally processed food. Fresh, whole vegetables and minimally processed meats, too. That goes a long way to explaining Japanese longevity.

Oh my that looks so good! It looks mouth watering! My daughter lived in Osaka two years and one in Kyoto and sometimes she'll make something from there and its sooo good! She loved living there and especially the food and lucky me she's a chef so I'm happy! Wish I was there tasting that great looking food!

totally agree that Jp food is the best !

Oh and I forgot to tell you I love tofu my brother in law is from Bali and he makes great dishes with it🙃
