2017 WAS TERRIBLE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD.

As the year 2017 wraps up in few hours, I thought it wise to bring this awareness to all steemians and to the world at large, most times we seems to cover up some crucial things that we should be open with, I really didn’t enjoyed my holidays because I am crushed by my meditations on how 2017 dealt with vulnerable women and children all over the world, and more from terrorist attacks.

Most centralized governments are lies and deceit, they and corrupt media teams together in deceiving the people that they’re meant to protect.

THE ABUSE OF RIGHT OF PROTECTION OVER WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN 2017 IS TOO MUCH TO WRITE ABOUT.

If you’re good in listening to new, you’d observe how the media has been projecting what I called the ‘crumbs of events’ over what befall women and children in this year 2017, UNICEF on their own is trying to be good servants to cruel bosses, whatever news their decide to make open to the world on the calamity befalling women and children are all scrutinized to suit what the centralized government want to hear.

Making laws are not enough! Implementing laws should be paramount instead.

The international law on the rights of women and children has been here over decades, even the corresponding consequences in defaulting those laws have lied in waste without any implementation, otherwise how could this world keep calm seeing women and children being abused daily, and such governments are not being summoned by international communities to answer to their incapacitated governance.

Thousands of children are being used by terrorists in carrying out their ungodly acts like engaging women and children in suicide bombing.

According to the recent news released on war going on in some countries, thousands of female children has been abused, rapped by soldiers who supposed to protect them.

What about millions of infants that are killed, going through respiratory diseases and organ failure due to toxic air?

What are the centralized governments doing to put themselves in check over millions of children being killed before their generation?

Children in South Asia are now living a life of no hope as the rate of air pollution has gone beyond zenith, more than 6x higher than recommend limits. more than 20% of infants suffering from brain diseases which affects their mental development all over the world are found in this zone.

what are centralized governments doing about these ugly situations, rather they go about preparing political rallies for elections two years ahead of time.

Adolescents dies from HIV and AIDS has gone up more than 3x of what it’s used to be since, most of the rising occurred in 2017 according to reports from UNICEF.

How can we seat and say that we’re celebrating new year without having these things addressed? I can go on and on to write about how that 2017 ate up our women and children without and help from the so called centralized governments.

IN CONCLUSION

Time has come for us to wake up from sleep, each country must fight evil with them, fight corruption to your own ability, but let it start from you, as well as myself.

It’s our responsibility to protect the vulnerable around us at all times, let’s make this same life bearable for the children of future generations.

I wish that 2018 will bring our world especially women and children a cause to smile.
