A minister wrote;
“When I was in theological school, one of my fellow understudies surveyed other students regarding whether they were certain of their salvation. In excess of 90% of the respondents said they didn't know. Also, they figured it would be self-important for somebody to claim to make sure of his or her salvation. They saw the possibility of affirmation not as an ideal virtue but rather as a vice.
There was a negative undertone to the very quest for affirmation of salvation, since it was expected it would prompt a condition of haughtiness”.

Obviously, there's no more regrettable haughtiness than to have the confirmation of something that we don't, truth be told, have. To be sure of salvation when we are not in a condition of salvation is pompous. Similarly, we are egotistical in the event that we say that affirmation isn't conceivable, in light of the fact that then we are criticizing the honesty of God Himself. On the off chance that confirmation is conceivable, we are egotistical in the event that we don't look for it.

In thinking about the source of false assurance of salvation, we saw that a standout amongst the most basic issues is an off base comprehension of the necessities of salvation. As such, terrible religious philosophy can create false assurance. By a similar token, great philosophy prompts genuine affirmation. In this manner, as we start to investigate how we can pick up a genuine and sound reason for our affirmation of salvation, the primary spot we need to look is theology, we’ll go through it even though we know that at the end, only the Holy Spirit can can bear witness with our spirit that we’re children of God!
