Steemit Engagement Challenge S11/W3 - The first salary always remains extra special for me
The first salary always remains extra special for me.
We are always accompanied by beautiful memories of the first things and their beginning, the first day at school, the first day at the university, your first day at the job, all of these imprint within us beautiful memories and may be confused at the beginning, but no one denies that he remembers the details of those days and what happened during them, perhaps in full detail. .
Who among us does not remember the first salary he received, his feeling while waiting for it for several nights, his perfect work until he takes his right to the fullest. His long thinking about where he will spend it, whether he will give it to his father, whether he will spend it on his personal pleasures, whether he will push him to improve something, whether he will buy him a laptop, or a phone he has always dreamed of.
A person imagines overwhelming happiness if he feels that he has finally become a reliable and self-reliant person. It must have been a good feeling when you got your first salary in your life, whatever your age at the time and whatever work you did, to get the first money from your hard work and effort. Holding it in your hands and feeling that you have finally become a productive and capable person who trusts himself and his abilities and strives to develop them is a beautiful feeling.
What are you going to do when you get your first paycheck? (or) What did you do after you got your first paycheck?
Yes, I remember the salary of my first job, which was approximately $250. It is a government job, and the gradation in it is somewhat strange, as it is modest in relation to the general rate of prices in my country, but when you graduate, it becomes little by little better, and it is perhaps more secure.
The important thing is that I got the salary in addition to a $50 bonus, and I came back very happy. It was a very nice feeling. I kept thinking about what I would spend it on. And how much should I save from it, especially since I was lived with my family, and most of the expenses were covered by my family, and they did not accept that I spend on the house under the pretext that I have to save for my marriage or for other things, but the fact of the matter is that they did not accept that I spent on the house and they liked to do this matter And they still look at me as if I and my brother were young and under their care, and thank God anyway.
In order not to prolong you, I bought a mobile from Sumsung with Android system, this was in 2008 and I was very happy with this wonderful device! And of course, I bought sweets, shawarma, and pizza for my family. I made a meal or a small feast, and returned to them to show them my salary after 3 months of work.
Does your income support your family other than yourself?
A great question that gives me the opportunity to appreciate my parents' efforts. I'll tell you how my wonderful parents taught me how to handle money!
First of all, I was lucky that I didn't grow up needy. It's a very convenient situation, but it's also a trap because I may not "know the value of money". Here's how my parents avoided this trap:
They did not hesitate to talk to me about money, whether during happy events (a stock market rally) or periods when it was necessary to tighten the belt (in relation to our standard of living).
Of course, they did not overwhelm me with their financial problems, but they explained to me on time that it was necessary to slow down expenses for X or Y reasons.
Personally, I don't remember the "decline" in our standard of living, but I understood it was because they were saving for other expenses of their own. In addition to the gratitude I felt, I made willing efforts to save when necessary.
They empowered me, somewhat in spite of myself. When my dad gave me my first pocket money, I remember asking myself "what am I going to spend this on?". Being in touch with money, even with very small amounts, forced me to learn to budget.
They have always communicated (and embodied) their financial principles, they always have protective savings for bad days, they always have a clear distribution of income, and they never save for the expenses necessary for a good quality of life. I had the opportunity to rub shoulders with these principles throughout my childhood and saw their effectiveness, so it is only natural that I reproduce them today.
The same method I adopt now in spending my monthly salary on my family consisting of a wife and two children, and I try as much as possible to teach them so that they realize the value of money in times of prosperity and adversity.
Did you study to earn money or knowledge?
For the knowledge,
The knowledge and work( earning money) are linked by an exchange relationship, as both serve the other. We open our eyes to letters that serve as a glowing path that leads us to the vastness of knowledge. And at a stage of its stages, which may have contributed to bringing about maturity in our minds, we have the idea of work, which becomes a door that must be pushed, sweeping away its subtleties, and reaping its benefits.
Also, knowledge makes us understand and succeed in the field of work and differentiate between honorable and forbidden work, and from it we conclude that science is a means of action, and a protection against falling into temptations in the field of matter, as it results in good work..On the other hand, work also when it is in advanced life periods becomes a means that helps in Acquisition of knowledge, especially since science requires money to be able to keep up with its methods.
And those who have no money often withdraw from study seats at a young age..For this reason, it is better to learn with the aim of knowledge first, so as not to waste the fruits of knowledge..We also keep in mind its path that leads to work that guarantees the honor of life (of course without exaggeration and greed)and the dignity of living away from luxury and persistence in aspiring to the couches of royal life.
Is life all about earning a lot of money or something else?
One of the wise men says (do not make money above your head to bury you in the ground, and make it under your feet to lift you off the ground). They could know the best way to deal with money, but they did not know how to face the challenges that money presents, whether in its abundance and liquidity or its scarcity and scarcity.
All those who are keen on money and put all their energy into collecting it, storing it, and taking care of it until you feel that the money is possessed by them and has become in their hearts and the possession of their minds. Good and beneficial for the country and the people, such as those become symbols among the people, as the ability to control money is a great blessing that many wealthy people do not possess.
Money may be one of the reasons for happiness, but it is not the only reason. Happiness can come without money, and that is through what the Lord has bestowed upon you of multiple blessings, such as a good wife, a righteous child, blessed sustenance, people’s love for you, the removal of hatred and envy from your heart, and your conviction of what God has given you. Something has it all.

I can remember those feelings you described so well. It seems like just yesterday, yet many moons have passed.
It was also the day that I realized what my parents went through to provide for us, as in a couple of days I had to realize that it was all gone and I had to take on a second job as a waiter to earn extra money.
Good luck with the contest, and thank you for the invitation.
