GOD IN MY DESERT!
Jehovah will guide you always, and in drought you will satisfy your soul, and it will give strength to your bones; and you shall be like a garden of watering, and like a spring of water, whose waters are never lacking ... "Isaiah 58:11
God's children have to face deserts, and when this happens many times we do not want to pray, we do not want to read the Bible or congregate, despondency and uncertainty comes to us. But who tells us His word when we are in this situation.
I. "The Lord will always guide you" (verse 11a)
Although in our eyes and our understanding we may think that God forgot us, "Jehovah will always guide us."
And this speaks to us of an eternal, continuous love, of a supreme interest on the part of God, that in the middle of our desert we cry for his help. Beyond our complaints, He remains at our side, beyond our rebellions, He remains faithful.
The promises of God are fulfilled, above our emotional condition, or our sense of abandonment. He will always be. Deuteronomy 7: 9 "Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy to those who love him and keep his commandments, even a thousand generations"
II. "In the droughts it will satisfy your soul" (verse 11b)
Many times we feel dryness, spiritual sterility. This makes us weak and unproductive. In that desert our life can fall and be food for the birds of prey, or be satiated by the living water. The decision to succumb to the enemy or to cry out for the Lord's help is ours.
God does not need anyone to tell him what is happening to us, because his eyes and ears are always attentive to our cry. No matter how far we have penetrated the dry sands of the desert, what counts is if we trust that He will hear us when we cry.
Isaiah 41: 17-18 "17 The afflicted and the needy seek the waters, and there are none; His tongue is thirsty; I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. 18 In the heights I will open rivers, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will open in the desert pools of water, and springs of water in the dry land. "
III. "It will give strength to your bones" (verse 11c)
All evidence in the desert leaves marks, fatigue, fatigue. All this weakens us. It scares us to think that we can go through the same thing again, but his Word says that "God will give strength to our bones", and that vigor is the strength, the energy, the courage to move forward.
It is the impulse, the push of God to move forward, as he did with Elijah in his depressed state when he no longer wanted to follow, when he succumbed to the mistaken idea that he was the only prophet who had been left alive, without knowing that there were 7,000 prophets who had not bowed their knees before Baal.
The Lord wants to give you that vigor, that strength to keep going, because there is much to be done and God has you in his plans.
IV. "And you shall be like a garden of watering, and like a spring of water, whose waters are never lacking" (verse 11d)
How joyful God's promises to his children produce, how the picture changes. What before seemed the end, spiritual death, is transformed into an abundance of life. It is that God allows us to reach bottom by our wrong decisions, but after experiencing the ardor, the thirst and the agony of the desert, God intervenes and changes the panorama. Now it makes us:
- Watering gardens
to. Fecund
b. To feed and feed others
c. To produce abundant fruits and seeds
- Spring of waters that never fail
to. In the desert there is dryness, but in this "orchard" there are abundant waters.
b. Those waters are abundant and never lacking.
There is no desert that overcomes you, because Jehovah will always lead you.
Hi Kristal! I have come a long way in the Gospel of Jesus and, I have learned that God never leaves us alone. There will always be someone to help us. Good message! God bless you

The times that I have had to pass through deserts my faith has been strengthened and I have learned to trust in God even more. They are tests that lead us to a destiny of life and edification where our Father teaches us more of the spiritual and sharpens our spiritual ears to communicate better. Thank you for your beautiful teaching, I have identified with her.
Greetings and God bless you
In the deserts God molds our character. God uses deserts to level us up. It shakes us to remove the things that are there that do not allow us to grow, to then get on the step. So in the desert instead of complaining we must be attentive to what God wants to do, to God's purpose, and in the end we will see the results. Praising and glorifying his name, even if it is difficult.
God is our refuge and strength, our help in the tribulations, so I will not fear ....
In my desert God is my company, I will not fear ..... faith is fundamental to believe that in every desert God goes with us. Interesting message Blessings.
