Repeating Lies to Wage War in Syria: Assad Was Accused of Chemical Attacks in April 2017, Still No Proof

in #syria7 years ago (edited)

Repeat a lie often enough, and people will take it to be true. The same lies are repeated each year about Assad, drummed up by the establishment of liars in government and mainstream media, in order to get justification to go to war and remake another part of the Middle -East.

The hope is that people will eventually believe it to be true, and public sentiment will accept the USA going to invade and murder more people overseas with American troops. They tried to do this with Iran for years with the "nuclear threat", as early as 2006. They can't get that false narrative and justification to stick on Iran, so Syria is the smaller fish they are going after.

This year it's the claim that Assad attacked his own people with a chemical attack, apparently chlorine gas as the symptoms are said to be "trouble breathing, foaming at the mouth, burning eyes and the emission of a chlorine-like odor.".

People are fed this disinformationon from the mainstream media selling it, and people usually buy into it. But how do they know that's what happened? How does the USA government or self-purporting "true-news" mainstream media know that's what actually happened? They don't know what happened. They are making up a story to sell to people.

Cui bono, who benefits from this story being put out? Does Assad? Why would Assad attack his own people? He was winning the war against the US-backed "rebels". The US said it had recently eliminated ISIS from the region. Everything was going well for Assad. Launching a chemical attack on his own people, killing children, is something that would only hurt him. So who benefits? The USA and the globalist cabal bent on reshaping the world in their own image by destabilizing Middle-Eastern countries and creating regime change and more chaos in the region.

Do people remember that Assad was accused of attacking his own people last year, at around the same time, but with Sarin gas? After the new Trump administration said it wasn't seeking to create regime change and remove Assad from power, there was an uproar in the pro-war political sphere against that policy change, and then like magic, Assad allegedly used Sarin gas on his own people. After which, the USA bombed a Syrian air base. The same things keep happening each year, with more bombing of Syria this year after a video was released again to manipulate Americans with propaganda.

Respected investigative journalist Seymour M. Hersh wrote about the 2017 chemical attack and how Trump reacted without solid intelligence about the situation on the ground in Syria. Hersh exposed how the the chemical attack was actually a Russian-supplied guide bomb that targeted a jihadist meeting on April 4th, 2017, and how the US was told about it beforehand:

The available intelligence made clear that the Syrians had targeted a jihadist meeting site on April 4 using a Russian-supplied guided bomb equipped with conventional explosives. Details of the attack, including information on its so-called high-value targets, had been provided by the Russians days in advance to American and allied military officials in Doha, whose mission is to coordinate all U.S., allied, Syrian and Russian Air Force operations in the region.

Some American military and intelligence officials were especially distressed by the president's determination to ignore the evidence. "None of this makes any sense," one officer told colleagues upon learning of the decision to bomb. "We KNOW that there was no chemical attack ... the Russians are furious. Claiming we have the real intel and know the truth ... I guess it didn't matter whether we elected Clinton or Trump.“

In February 2018, Secretary of Defense James Mattis said there was "no evidence" of the alleged Sarin chemical attack in April 2017.

Could it be that the vested war-mongers engineered chemical attacks in 2017, and now in 2018, in order to push for an officially declared war on Syria to topple Assad and create another chaotic region in the Middle-East?

Now we have many politicians and news pundits declaring Assad evil and calling for war, point blank, no skepticism of the attack or real investigation. The establishment expects people to have goldfish memory and be too dumb to think, and it might just work. The politicians are making their rounds on Twitter and the mainstream media is beating their war drum. I don't know what will happen in the future, but if people can see the so-called "true-news" mainstream media as the fakenews purveyors they are, this socially engineered narrative to go to war with Syria might be halted by public opinion alone.

People are fed this disinformationon the mainstream media, and they usually buy into it.

Used to usually buy into it - only because we had no other sources of information to glean the truth from.

This paradigm is falling to pieces rapidly - hence the wilder and wilder attempts of justification for their action's.
(Russian poisoning, anyone? lol)

People see through the BS quicker and quicker - and I think this new reality is gathering speed.

MSM giants are like the giant dinosaurs who walked the earth for millions of years as the dominant species.
They never gave those little mammals scurrying around, a second thought as a threat....

The CNN's of this world(the establishment) are now just waking up to this fact, and the mammals are the Internet.

But it's too late....The genie is out of the bottle.

Yup, thanks to the internet we get more degrees of freedom of information, yet the mainstream can't explain it that way lol, lest they lose their monopoly on info :P

..it's already lost, that are just too lumbering and egotistical to realize it yet.

It makes me sick, and it's so sad for the Syrian people. My best friend used to live in Damascus before the conflict started, and she raved about what a great place it was. Now it's a war zone, it's awful.

The same thing was done to invade Irak over nukes that ended up not existing, and there are many more examples. The general public seems to think that people there are backward, but these countries were actually very modern until bombs destroyed everything. It makes me feel extremely helpless because there is nothing we can do.

Blind trust leads to being a blind fool and allowing great evil to happen in our names :/

Yeah, Libya was also quite nice before the bombing... sending them back to the "stone age" by destroying their infrastructure while acting like heroes yet being the demons...

Hi @krnel

Another great piece of info. Thanks for posting.

I'm not convinced that people are waking up to this. I think there are enough people out there that either don't have access to alternative media, aren't interested in anything that doesn't impact there life in the next hour, believe in Fox News and the BBC and nothing else, or just don't care. People are so divided and wrapped up in their own lives that they are not changing.

It's not even very well hidden anymore. There is a clear path to control of oil, infrastructure by western business, public money into private money and most importantly the central bank 'collection'.

Sacrificing a few 'peasents' to fulfill their ambitions has just become the norm. In their eyes even their own people are expendable.

Gaz :(

Yeah, interest in alternative media is hurt by the spread of the 'fakenews' narrative that the real fake news spreads :/

Thanks, you're welcome ;)

I get so annoyed when I see some bullshitting politician or mainstream TV channel, like the BBC, spouting the 'beware of fake news', headlines.

Like you said, they are the fake news!

Truth is the first victim of every war. The same is now.
We from Croatia have our own experience (propaganda and war).
Only an active participant of the event is a relevant witness.
Everyone else only transports information from a "proven source".
So, anyone who holds a "stronger microphone" is still heard (controlling more media).
People will not think with their head. Is that so easy?
So why should Asad cut off the branch he was sitting on?
Tackling Your Own Nations!
No logic ...

Indeed, the people there are the reporters of the reality, everyone else trusts in the source. If the source lies, lies are spread. Talking-heads just need to be the voices who dominate the media for people to consume, and it just gets cobbled up without verification of the reality.

People need to understand that real-world politics is not a Hollywood movie. Strategical moves and interactions are much more complicated than the "we are the good guys and we need to kill the bad guys" narrative. I have written a post on the real motives behind the whole thing. Guess what, its all about control of the natural gas market. You might want to check it out.

Yup, the energy reserves in the area are always a factor, plus remaking the world in the image of globalists, creating conflicts, acting like heroes to save others, works well to progress to wards a one world government of centralized control. Good post ;)

Thanks for your post. I think it's so important to keep Syria in the spotlight.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't think things were settled by this little bombing exercise.

As always, great job on your post.

Yeah, just more war mongering and power spent to make money for the war profiteers :/ Thanks :)

Of course there is still no proof. There was none either with Sadam. The powers that be need a excuse to get us in to war. A new war can be used as a way to distract the public and as a scapgoat to the economic woes that are just around the corner. They have been trying to get us into war for sometime with anyone and have not been successful. Thanks @krnel.

Rinse and repeat, over and over... sigh... same ol' tricks... :/

Lied to regularly and ever more brazenly or incompetently, Western publics no longer trust what they hear whether truthful or not. By the looks of the reactions on French, British and American social media, Western publics are predominantly skeptical of their government's foreign policy and a plurality believe they are being lied to; meanwhile they are tiring of the mainstream news media propaganda. This time the logic of repeating a lie long enough until it's believed, hasn't worked.

But no matter. The action was carried out and governments are getting away with it. The lie was repeated so much the publics do not know anything else, so that despite their weariness with the incessant repetition of the same old, same old mainstream tune, they find themselves in the paradoxical position of not believing what they know; it's easier to go along with the paradigm even so, and with time one might convince himself he actually believes.

From what I see many US citizens actually believe the narrative. Perhaps not so much in Europe, but the "war on terror" story has been going on for years in the US. People who haven't been out of the country cannot understand why this could not be the case. All they know is that there are some pretty fanatic people in the Middle East, who fly on buildings and drop chemical bombs. People who live in smaller countries with more neighbours and especially closer to problematic areas are more likely to understand that it's never that simple.

Indeed what other narrative is there to believe, reservations and skepticism notwithstanding?

Yeah, even if the repeated lie doesn't work, they still get away with what they are doing :/ Go along to get along...

They did the same with the Iraq war, they waged the war on a lie that sadam hussain was hiding chemical or nuclear weapons. 7 years and 3 million death later all Iraq received was a. Sorry.

Yup, sad pathetic state of affairs we are involved in as citizens of these countries...
