The Myth Episode 7
The executive members of the GGS began packing files and papers into briefcases and began walking out. Some hi's and hanshakes passed around, but Mr. Pram walked briskly to the elevator and descended to the car park to attend other businesses. He received a call from an employee of his microchip processing plant telling him that some fine looking young men in mufti were seeking him and would accept no offer from any one. Thoughts buzzed about in his head as to what businesses he had doing with such people. All these were on his mind as he drove out of the garage to his plant.
"Godsway, Godsway, wake up. It's your dad." Kwame said as he shook the breath out of his friend.
"What?" Godsway bleakly asked him through sleepy eyes.
"Your dad is on the phone." Kwame told him.
He instantly snapped out of his sleep and grabbed the phone.
"Hello?" He asked
"Hello G, how are you?" His father asked
"Doing good, and you?"
"Good when are you guys coming?"
"Like Saturday."
"Saturday or like Saturday?"
"Saturday."
"Ok. Prepare your squad and all and make sure you get all the commands right okay?"
"Yes da."
"Good."
"But how is the battle with the terrorists going?"
With this question, General Smith hanged up because it was unethical to discuss battle issues with civilians.
"What did he say?" Kwame eagerly asked
"The parade at the Crocodile barracks on Saturday. I believe it's Saturday or?" Godsway replied
"Oh, it is."
"Good. Then let's intensify our rehearsals and training, because the General himself will be there."
"Aka your dad."
"Yes, get Abdullah and the squad members and start doing stuff."
"Ok. But first let's go see patron. There's something we have to discuss with him." Kwame suggested to Godsway.
The two aspiring soldiers walked to the patron's office to inform him of some updates. With barley a week for the final exams to begin, every final year student was learning as if they will write in a few hours. But the cadet corps learnt just the core subjects with physical education and an ex-serviceman to teach them military tactics and skills, of which Godsway was the commanding officer. Away from military affairs, Ama, Mary and Nihad together with Patrick, Joey, Emmanuel and Prince sat in a circle discussing some past questions. The school's library had a discussion room in which various groups met and talked about various topics ranging from astronomy to zodiacs. The 7 friends were later joined by Anabel, Samira, Joseph and Sheriff. The subject being dissected was elective mathematics.
"Okay guys, who can solve this question?" Mary asked.
"Read it out." Joseph said.
She began to read it out and they all began scribbling a network of numbers and alphabets. One by one they finished and one by one, they announced their answers which were all wrong but for Samira's answer.
"Great. Samira teach us how it's solved." Emmanuel said
"Okay. Well you begin by factorising and then this and that..." Samira babbled on.
When she finished, Sherif gave another question. Just then, Joey excused himself to free himself at the unrinal. The students finished solving the questions and presented answers which were wrong.
"How do you solve this question at all?" Ama asked.
"I don't know, does anybody know?" Mary also asked
"Let Joey come. He will solve this integration stuff now." Sherif suggested
Instantly Joey walked in and took his seat.
"Alright Mr. Rho, can you solve this question?" Samira asked.
"Who is Mr. Rho?" Joey asked.
"Umm, you don't know?" Samira asked.
"Know what?" Joey retorted
"Hey look at that fat lizard on the wall!" Ama shouted.
All heads and eyes turned in that direction. Ama quickly turned to Samira and told her not to call him Mr. Rho. At least not yet. When all the heads turned, everything was back to normal.
"Okay, back to business guys. Joey can you solve the question?" Prince asked.
"Certainly, give me a minute." he said.
At last, he gave them the correct answer and showed them the criteria involved. The long awaited prep over bell was tolled and the students of Farmzed High School began trekking back to their dorms. The 11 friends said a 30 second prayer and began to disperse. Anabel, Mary, Nihad and Samira formed a circle around Ama and began questioning her.
"Yes. When I went to tell him, he was not around and I'm a human so I forgot." Ama replied to the questions that were being blurted out from all directions.
"Then tell him today before he disappears again." Nihad said.
"True, you don't wanna be alone in all the upcoming pressure Mrs. Rho." Anabel added
They didn't finish talking when Ama slithered away into the crowd to trace Joey.
"Maybe the bits of green hair in her head is beginning to scrape her brain." Anabel teasingly said. As they left the library, one student in her night gown was seen holding a plate containing only-God-knows. She was flanked by her friends and they were holding spoons in their hands. You wouldn't need a magician to tell you what was going to happen in the dormitory as it was a common practice for the students of Farmzed High.
"What did you say??!!!" General Smith shouted in dismay.
"Sir, the intel we received from the GGS has been stolen." Issac reported
"How did it happen?"
"Whatever or whorever did it wanted just that, because all files are intact, save the coordinates to the undisclosed location"
"My best hunch will be Al-Zay. Get all the hackers and technicians together. Our intel may be crippled if they decode it before we can get it back"
Okay General Sir." Issac said as he began his work.
