Today I want to share with you a traditional delicacy from my hometown, Akwa ibibio(Akwa ibom state)_otomboro! Made from unripe bananas,the dish is a staple in our culture and a personal favorite of mine.

Growing up,I remember my mother and grandmother preparing otomboro for special occasions and family gatherings.The aroma of steaming unripe bananas would fill the entire house, making everyone stomach growl with anticipation

So, what exactly is otomboro? Otomboro is a simple yet flavourful dish made from unripe bananas.

How to cook otomboro

I started the cooking by Peeling and washing the banana.Next, I grind them ,after grinding the ingredients,I added Maggi cubes and salt to the mixture to taste.

Preparing ingredients:
I gathered the necessary ingredients, including fish,meat,pere wrinkle,meat,kpomo,crayfish,oil,salt, Maggi seasoning,fish and my scent leaf.after steaming the ingredients,I put them in my pot and add water cover my pot and cook,after some minutes when the water start boiling and put my banana mixture and cover the pot to cook then I open the pot and i start cutting the banana mixture into small pieces, i prefer my own small
After that I added my oil and tasted it.

Conclusion

After completing the cooking process,my atomboro was finally ready! I was happy to attempt making this diverse culinary traditions of akwa ibom and africa,the texture was perfect and everything was impressive.

Otomboro holds a special place in Akwa ibom's culture and tradition.its often served at weddings traditional marriage and other celebrations.The dish is also a symbol of hospitality and community,bringing people together to share in the joy of good food and company.
