A Celebration of Love and Legacy: Honoring My Father-in-Law

Today, I will be sharing a very special day of my father-in-law. Its another milestone of his life because he is celebrating his 60th year of existence on earth. We gather at papa's hous not just to celebrate his big day but to honor such wonderful father, whose love, wisdom, and strength have shaped our little family in countless ways. Celebrating his big day was a heartfelt reminder of the legacy he build --- I can say that he is so kind, responsible and most especially God-fearing.

Since I became part of their family, he has been guiding us, offer his support through his secret actions rather than loud words. I could say that he is one of the best father figure anyone could have. His life reflects values of hardwork, he is a hardworking person especially in serving God. Even if he is so tired from work as a wood carver, he always finds time to visit the church and fix the things that needs to be fixed. He is also one of our church pastors and will feed us with Gods words.

As we shared our laughter, joy, chikas and a simple meal together, we were always reminded that true love and joy comes from unity with a thankful heart. The celebration we had is more than candles and cakes, it was a tribute to a kind and well-deserved father that influences us to be better everyday. In his 60th day, we together with my hubby's siblings surprised him with cellphone and a money cake with a simple meal together with the whole family and church family. Everyone is full, not only with the food but as well as with the words of God.
