A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

This is how I imagine the bathrooms on airplanes, or on European trains, since on my first and only trip by plane I neither needed nor felt curious to go to the bathroom. And now that I think about it, I believe the nerves of that first flight made me lose the urge to use it, even after an almost endless layover at the Panama airport.

Or maybe it’s due to my aversion to public bathrooms, because I don’t know if it’s the same in every country, but at least in mine people use public bathrooms as if they had been raised in caves and had just learned to walk upright.

It's funny that you say your nerves prevent you from needing to go to the toilet. For many people, it's the other way around. In any case, I've noticed that people often avoid using the toilet on aeroplanes, trains and long-distance coaches, except perhaps when they are ill or just before arriving at their destination. What can I say about these toilets in general? They are dirty and the hygiene is not great. The intention is that, as elsewhere, the user leaves the toilet reasonably clean, but unfortunately this is rarely the case. This may of course also be because it is quite a small cubicle where a normal person, let alone a tall person, cannot really stand up. In addition, the flush function leaves something to be desired, so you can imagine what it's like when someone has an extensive bowel movement, has diarrhoea or, for example, has to vomit. It is indeed better to avoid the toilet, but for some people this will not always be possible, especially during a long flight. It is particularly annoying when the toilets are always occupied or cannot be used.

The public restroom is what more nervous give me. I also think they could be hidden cameras, and as always are dirty, I prefer not to use at least if I don't have really the need.

How many hours is the longest fly? When I travel to Asunción I spent almost 8 hours on the bus, and I don't use the bus's bathroom because I don't drink anything when I travel 😆

Most will not have hidden cameras so if you feel unwell and can't get that door open or find the emergency button you might be in there for a long time, or till some steward starts wondering what takes you so extremely long.

There are flights of 24 hours or longer especially now they love to take the longest road instead of the short one. Can you hold in that long? Worse is the public toilet after landing... unless you can make it through the control and find another.

I drink when I travel but not befor I leave... The luck with the buses is that they might stop somewhere where bathrooms are.
