Deadly Tamiflu sold (again) as remedy against the flu

As if pushing a useless and potentially dangerous flu-vaccine was not enough, health authorities in the northern hemisphere are now advising the use of the infamous Tamiflu anti-viral to combat the flu.

In the UK, general practitioners have been urged by the country's chief medical officer, Dame Sally Davies, to give Tamiflu to their most vulnerable patients, not as a treatment, but as a preventive measure, although never having been proved as such. The primary target of this measure are care-home residents, who after being vaccinated with a shot even the MSM admits is ineffective, are now to be given Tamiflu, even if they don't have any flu symptoms.
In the United States, official advice is that Tamiflu can be safely used in children, not only adults.
According to a Tampa Bay area pediatrician, Lou Romig,

“Folks are going to come in and they are going to want Tamiflu expecting miracles, and really the Tamiflu only makes the illness shorter by maybe a half day to a day, and that if you’re lucky”.

Contrary to the official position of the American medical establishment, the Florida doctor warns that Tamiflu is not to be used for children.

“Most everyone shouldn’t get the Tamiflu. Again because it is not that good of drug. Particularly with children, it can make them have stomach pain, vomiting and diarrhea, which then can make them feel worse than what they started out with.”

Tamiflu, linked to suicide

Tamiflu got international notoriety during the 2005 avian flu scare, when governments worldwide were pressured into buying enormous quantities of the so-called antiviral. At the time, the drug was touted the best-weapon against the virus, although even back then many questioned the science behind such allegations.
For those who might not remember the controversy regarding Tamiflu, it is worth reminding the fact that the drug was developed by Gilead Sciences, a California biotech company with several prominent US officials among its stockholders, including the former US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Although Tamiflu was sold to Swiss-based Hoffman La Roche, Gilead stockholders receive royalties up to this day.

At the height of the 2005 avian flu scare, the World Health Organization published apocalyptic studies saying up to 150 million people might die of bird flu. President Bush asked the Congress to approve $1 billion for a Tamiflu stockpile for the civilian population. The Pentagon had already approved $1.8 billion for military use of the anti-viral. That's almost $3 billion in the US alone. Obviously, this should be considered one of the biggest corruption affairs ever, but the scandal was avoided by the official announcement that Rumsfeld had not been involved in the decision process regarding Tamiflu, to avoid a conflict of interest. And, yes, the whole world bought this pathetic explanation and many American officials or ex-officials made a fortune selling a basically useless drug.
With the whole Aussie flu hysteria, it is widely expected Gilead Sciences stockholders will make good profits this year, too.
People considering using Tamiflu or giving the drug to their children should remember that besides nausea and vomiting the anti-viral has been associated with psychiatric side-effects, including suicidal thoughts. The scandal broke in Japan after the suicide of 12 teenagers being treated with Tamiflu during the 2005 bird flu campaign. Dozens more exhibited abnormal behavior like running on busy streets or climbing on top of tall buildings. To ward off potential accusations, the drugs leaflet was modified to include abnormal behavior among its side-effects.

It's a terrible thing when the 'authorities' tout a remedy/preventative knowing full well that it is ineffectual and or harmful. The greed of these 'authorities' knows no bounds. I agree 100% with you!
