So what is actually a flowers use for? flowers are the reproductive part of a plant, usually 1 flower has both male and female parts, the male parts are the stamen, which concicit of filaments and anthers. filaments are like little stalks that supports the anther, anthers produce tiny dust-like grain called pollen. the female part of the flower is called the carpel. this consist of an ovary, ovules, a style and stigma. the ovary is hidden in bulb shape receptacle at the base of the flower. inside the ovary are one or more ovules, which become seeds when the flower is fertilized. in order for a flower to fertilized, pollen must be transfered from the male stamen to female stigma.
