The biggest issues I've seen is we have more takers than givers. Also building up how much you make comes from more than just how much you post. It comes from marketing yourself. And the words I don't have time for that I have a normal job is the reason why.
It won't hurt you to stop by discords and chat with people in the communities. Most of the people I see complaining are people who do no curation at all as well as commenting on others content.

Get a cheap mic if you don't have one and stop in on some discords and other communities.
Talking to people in the general chat of steem.chat
There is even discord radio shows you can go on and talk about your self and you contest weekly.
One example is steemit ramble: https://discord.gg/CNXeeVh
This is not a place to spam but its one example of places you can go.

If I can add to that. I think it has been a mistake not to attempt to capture all of this social media traffic from the start. Essentially there is far too little social media and far too much the result of socializing elsewhere that gets seen on Steem itself.
Not to disregard all the great projects and posts that take place through Steem and some of which organically started directly on the chain as well of course. But if putting on our critical shoes, there certainly is a lot that can be done on this front.
I don't know what this top level shitpost is doing on my trending page.
At least I'm happy that I've found your really good comment here and a bucket of good tips!
[✓] Don't Just link bomb
After some talks on Steem.Chat, whenever I post a link to #postpromotion channel, I take some time to check few other posts until I find at least three that I like and upvote them.
[...] Don't Just only talk about yourself
Here I need to put some work on that. @suesa says I'm a little bit narcissist but I have to disagree on "a little" ;)

Good idea, however I started using Steem to detach to my other social sites, but I think it's a good advice for most of the pro bloggers.

Please look at this faucet, how great it is to produce lots of cryptocurrency very easily and many with a variety of currencies, and this is not HOAX

I was desperately waiting 5:31 minutes for the promise of your title to be kept. Do you seriously think - just from the bottom of your heart - that this post is worth a top trending position?
You're kindly invited to come over to Steemspeak and talk about it in detail.
Quit the drugs and quit feeling sorry for yourself. Go out and put some good hard work into Steemit. Go out and do some in depth quality Commenting about OTHER people instead of just yourself.
This shit post gives steemit a terribly bad image :( :(
Using the reward pool to support 'promotion' is just ridiculous . Steemit, Steempeak, or busy.org should offer actual promotion services. Most social media websites, for a small fee, offer exposure to X number of users.
As a market analyst and forex trader for some years now. I do want to spill out my advice and say that a bull run like we saw in 2017 will probably not happen in the near time future. Def not with Bitcoin or any of the other major coins. However, a bull run with a much softer and steady growth will be more likely.

Success comes to doers, not talkers.
Most ppl don't know how to contribute but are naturally selfish.

Thanks for the wonderful advice

That one is a real fun. @apsu rocks!
I'd never say that :P
When You write that everything upon that means unauthorized citation... Even that he disagree. That's simple.
....what?
I guess that... When someone write something that you never say... It's means or could means... Unauthorized citation. Don't? 🙄
Well, my comment that "I'd never say that" was more of a joke (which could be concluded from the ":P" smiley I added).
And if it was wrong, it'd be incorrect citation, not unauthorized.
Incorrect or unauthorized depends of point of view... so that smiley ":P" chance all meaning. Ok. that's fine. ;P
totally agree.

Well... this deserves to be on trending....
Sarcasm obviously....
Super bullish in the long term.

Downvoted for disagreement with rewards. Nothing against you or your video. It is just not worth $480.
Agreed. $480 for a post like this? Steem is a weird platform.
