IN SPIRIT OF XMAS CELEBRATION , LETS HAVE FUN BY PLAYING PAINTBALLS IN COLD WEATHER
TIPS FOR COLD WEATHER PAINTBALL
Paintball is a game that is much more enjoyed during the summer. You might have been playing paintball all summer, acquiring new skills, experience and also playing well but during cold weather, paintball is a different game. During the cold weather, you will need to up your game because at this season, snow and ice are also obstacles you must challenge tactically. This calls for implementing some few changes on how paintball is to be played during this weather. These changes are explained below:
1. Insulated coolers should be placed in the room
• Keep the paint warm by keeping it in an Insulated cooler
• The paint in the pod back should be kept warm using heat packs
• Paint could break inside a marker so it is advisable to bring a squeegee
Regardless of being in the cold weather, cooler are still needed and they should be kept around. The reason for keeping a cooler around is to keep the cold in. the paintballs suffers from the heat by melting and also from cold by shattering so it is wise to get a room temperature inside the bag. The paint can easily break or crack with the slightest touch from being brittle due to premature exposure to too much cold.
The paintballs should be stored in the cooler so as to avoid the paintballs from breakage and the hopper should be loaded at the very last possible time. When a pod pack or vest is been used, the paint can be kept at a very good temperature while the game is on using the heat pack. The pod pack should be worn under the clothing outer layer and a heat pack should be on your body. Once the hopper is been loaded, it shouldn’t be shaked unnecessarily. In cases where the paint shatters in your marker on the field, the squeegee should be used.
2. Be patient while using the Co2 tank
• Shoot at a slower rate and shoot less
• The marker should be pointed up when not firing
• During the winter period, the HPA tank should be used
The use of the Co2 tanks possesses a lot of difficulties and delays during winter due to the fact that colder temperature makes Co2 expand slower. To avoid jamming your marker, it is best to shoot less and at a slower rate. When not shooting the marker, it should be pointed towards the sky because it will help preventing the Co2 from being valueless and keeping it in a bottle. It could be counterproductive when heat packs are used and when expansion chambers are removed from the tanks.
The Co2 tanks needs to be upgraded to a higher pressure air tank (HPA) during winter because you may encounter some issues using it. The HPA tanks are best suited for winter due to the fact that it increases efficiency and accuracy when using it in cold weather.
3. Clothing’s and gears that are suitable for winter should be chosen
• Sweatshirts waterproof and under armor should be worn
• Usage of hats and flexible gloves are recommended
• Thermal lens should be used
It’s always best to dress for winter, as it will be surprising to spot some players not dressing properly for paintball during winter. Layers are important part of the dressing during this winter although layers are worn all year long for paintball games. Wearing the perfect amount of clothing is been aided by layers.
Comfortable movements will be achieved by wearing zip-up waterproof coats, sweatshirts and thermal under armour.hat and gloves also helps during winter. Clothing’s to worn after the games should be brought along as the game will make the ground muddy or snowy or wet. To boycott fogging your goggles during the cold weather, thermal lens should be upgraded to.
4. Tactical challenges should be prepare for
• Slippery and icy patches should be paid attention to
• And support and waterproof boots should be worn
• Extra socks should be brought along
Snow, ice and freezing air are conditions presented by winter that creates more challenges tactically than during the warmer weather. Due to the moisture and slippery ground, players need to develop their skills more as moving around become more difficult in the cold weather.
The icy patches or slippery ground should be carefully treaded on. Usage of waterproof boots that as traction and ankle support should be worn. Extra socks should be brought along in case the one been worn gets wet.

ADVICE: BE CAREFUL WHEN PLAYING PAINTBALL DURING THIS XMAS ERA, AND DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE FUN WHIL PLAYING IT
