So I let Dallas have a skip day from school..
Dallas and I went to the town over to pick up a few things and then picked up some scaffolding on the way to the cabin, we will need once we get building on the cabin again.
We carried it all up on shore, plus a few other things like the winch, few pails of gas, winch cables, two sleighs and a few batteries.
We also went out and got a truckload of firewood, picked out some good ole standing dead. Fell it, bucked it up, loaded it and then on to the next ones.
Taking a break doing a bit of target shooting before we get back to the firewood.
Back to the firewood..
Got a nice load
Dumping it on the shoreline, we will come back and bring Sienna to help haul it up by sleigh tomorrow.
This will come in handy somewhere somehow, found it sticking out of the snowbank while we were getting wood.
Even got in a bit of fishing!
Just out front of the cabin, you can see it back there.

We let our little guy have the odd skip day too .. My battery powered chainsaw cuts much less wood than that in one session lol - looks like a good haul of wood - and Jack fish too :)
The kids learn more in a day of physical work/life skills than a day of sitting in a classroom..imo
