Bireuen Government Commemorates National Education Day 2025.
The Bireuen Regency Government through the Cultural Sector of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud) held a flag ceremony to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2025.
With the theme "Universal Participation Realizes Quality Education for All", the ceremony took place at the Kapuspemkab ceremony field, Friday (2/5/2025).
At the ceremony, the Regent of Bireuen H, Mukhlis ST, acted as the ceremony instructor and read out a written mandate from the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti.
In the Mendikdasmen's speech, Mukhlis said that the commemoration of National Education Day is not just an annual ceremony marked by a flag ceremony and various competitions.
National Education Day is a momentum for us to strengthen and increase dedication, commitment, and enthusiasm to fulfill the constitutional mandate, namely to educate the nation's life by providing the best, quality, and progressive education services for all children of the nation.
The 1945 Constitution affirms that every citizen has the right to receive an education. In the National Education System Law number 20 of 2003, it is stated that every citizen has the right to receive a quality education.
According to the mandate of the constitution, there should be no discrimination on the basis of religion, physical, ethnic, language, economy, gender, domicile and other reasons that cause someone to lose the opportunity to receive an education.
Education is a basic human right and civil right that is inherent in every human being, both as an individual and a citizen. In essence, education is a process of building the main personality, noble morals, and national civilization.
Individually, education is a process of developing human nature as an educational being (homo educandum) through which humans master knowledge, have skills, and various intelligences that enable them to achieve material and spiritual well-being and happiness.
In the context of nationality, education is a means of socio-political mobility that vertically elevates the dignity of the nation.
Therefore, it is very appropriate when President Prabowo places education as a priority. As mentioned in the fourth Asta Cita, President Prabowo is committed to building strong human resources as actors and agents of change that lead Indonesia to become a just and prosperous nation and country.
Through education, President Prabowo is committed to breaking the chain of poverty.
The President is determined to advance education through revitalizing educational facilities and infrastructure, digital learning, and improving the quality, qualifications, and performance of teachers through fulfilling qualifications, improving competencies, and welfare.
In this way, teachers are expected to become agents of learning and agents of civilization.
"Teachers are not only learning facilitators but also mentors and counselors for students.
Teachers are parents who are always by the side of their students in joy and sorrow and guide their students to achieve lofty ideals," he said.
For this reason, cooperation is needed from all parties, including the government, parents, society, the business world, and the mass media.
The government as the state administrator cannot work alone due to limited resources and funding sources.
Universal support and participation are needed so that education as a public service can play a role in leading children to become a great and strong generation.
Since October 2024, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has taken concrete steps to build quality education services.
Managerially, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has improved the governance, coaching, and performance of teachers.
Curricularly, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will implement Deep Learning, the implementation of Academic Ability Tests (TKA), as well as Coding and Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning.
Pedagogically, in order to shape character, the Ministry has created a policy of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children which include waking up early, praying, exercising, eating healthy and nutritious food, loving to learn, being part of society, and going to bed early.
The Morning Cheer Program includes Great Indonesian Children's Gymnastics (SATH), singing the song Indonesia Raya, and praying together. Character education at the Kindergarten level has launched the Kicau Album which contains children's songs.
"With the spirit of National Education Day, let us join hands, work together, and work together to realize Quality Education for All," concluded the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education.

Happy National Education Day, hopefully Indonesian education will be much better in the future.
