The Bireuen Regency Government, Aceh Province, controlled street vendors (PKL) who were selling in prohibited locations in the Bireuen area, Thursday (10/4/2025).

The control was carried out by a joint team consisting of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Kodim 0111/Bireuen, Polres, Dansubdenpom Bireuen and related officers.

The control, which also involved the Muspika Kota Juang, was against street vendors who had been selling in prohibited locations in Bireuen City, which is included in the Kota Juang Bireuen District.

The target of the control was seasonal street vendors who since the end of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid al-Fitr have set up stalls around Jalan Alun-alun, Bireuen City and Jalan T Hamzah Bendahara, Bandar Village, Kota Juang, Bireuen.

The clean-up was carried out so that the area is clean from seasonal traders and road users can also easily pass through and maintain order and the beauty of the monument area.

Head of Civil Service Police Unit/WH Bireuen, Chairullah SE on the sidelines of the clean-up to several media crews, said that before the clean-up, his party had appealed to them not to sell on the sidewalks of the monument area and several other prohibited locations. However, the appeal was not obeyed by the traders, so they had to be disciplined.

During the clean-up, the goods belonging to the street vendors that had been taken will be returned to their owners after coaching.

"Similar clean-ups will be carried out routinely in the future to maintain the beauty of Bireuen City and are expected to create order and comfort for the entire community and road users," he said.
