Geudong-Geudong Bireuen Village Government Supports 47 Orphans.
The community and the Geudong-Geudong Village Government (Gampong), Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, held a feast together to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 1445 H/2023 AD, Thursday, 28/9/2023.
The series of activities took place at the Geudong Al-Mujahidin Residential Mosque complex, in the local gampong. The commemoration of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was accompanied by providing assistance to 47 orphans and distributing packed rice to hundreds of local village children.
On the sidelines of the activity, the Keuchik of Gampong Geudong-Geudong, Fachrial, said that the activities to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW were not just ceremonial. However, it can increase faith in Allah and His Messenger and can bring positive changes not only in work, but in everyday life.
Apart from that, it is able to increase closeness, unity, brotherhood and strengthen ties between fellow citizens.
"We from the Gampong Government would like to thank the gampong residents, elements of gampong institutions and the committee who were so enthusiastic in supporting this activity," said the local Gampong Keuchik.
Meanwhile, the local gampong Imum Meunasah, Tgk Hasbi Ahmad, said that this activity to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW has become a tradition for the residents of this gampong and is routinely carried out every year. Apart from that, the commemoration of the Prophet's birthday is an opportunity to increase feelings of love for the Prophet Muhammad in following his example and sunnah.
It was stated that the activity would continue with a Tausiah delivered by Tgk Syukrullah from Pidie Jaya Regency. Tgk Hasbi Ahmad invited Muslims and Muslim women, especially residents of Gampong Geudong-Geudong, to attend the tausiah event.
"God willing, the Tausiah will be held on Friday evening, (28/9/2023) Ba'da Isha at the local Gampong Geudong Al-Mujahidin Residential Mosque complex," explained the local Imum meunasah gapong.
A total of 47 orphans who were provided assistance came from three hamlets in the Gampong Geudong-Geudong area, namely Pusuh Lawah, Kuta Trieng and Geudong Sagoe hamlets.
"The compensation given is in the form of cash and 1 bag of 15 kg rice. Apart from that, the organizers also distributed packed rice to hundreds of children who attended the feast commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The compensation came from voluntary donations collected by local village residents and benefactors.
The Chief Executive of Activities, Faisal, expressed thousands of endless thanks to the village community for voluntarily making generous donations to support orphans and also thanked the benefactors.
"No matter how small the donation given to support orphans, it is of course very beneficial for the recipient," said Faisal, who is also the Head of the local gampong Youth.
Activities to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 1445 H/2023 AD, were attended by thousands of local Gampong residents and invitees from various regions. This activity was successful and orderly until it was finished.
