State Islamic Senior High School 2 Bireuen Holds Blood Donation Campaign.
In order to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) in 2025, State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) 2 Bireuen held a blood donation campaign which took place in the yard of the school, Friday, (2/5/2025).
This humanitarian activity is a form of social concern as well as a real manifestation of support for humanitarian values in an important momentum in the world of education.
The Head of the Bireuen Regency Ministry of Religion Office, Dr. H Zulkifli S Ag M Pd, said that the blood donation activity is very beneficial for people in need, and is in line with the values of care that must be instilled from an early age.
"With this program, we can help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters who need blood," said Zulkifli
He also expressed his appreciation for the initiative of the Acting Head of MAN 2 Bireuen and the students who voluntarily donated blood. According to him, active student participation is a real form of character education that must continue to be fostered.
"I really appreciate the Acting Head and all the children who are willing to be donors. This is a good example of how students can show concern for others," he added.
Furthermore, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs hopes that similar activities can also be carried out by other madrasas in Bireuen Regency. He emphasized the importance of building a spirit of sharing and caring among the younger generation.
"In the future, we hope that other madrasas can also hold similar activities. Our children need to be given space to show empathy, because with a drop of blood, they can save other people's lives," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Acting Head of MAN 2 Bireuen, Dedek Kelana SE, said that this activity was the result of collaboration between the madrasa and the Blood Transfusion Unit Team of Fauziah Bireuen Hospital, and was part of an effort to build social awareness among students.
"We want to instill humanitarian values in students through real actions, one of which is by donating blood. Alhamdulillah, many students were enthusiastic about participating," said Dedek
This blood donation activity went smoothly and received a positive response from various parties. Dozens of blood bags were successfully collected and immediately handed over to the Fauziah Bireuen Hospital Team to be distributed to those in need.
