Desire to eat

in #science6 years ago

Why do we have a desire to eat. What is food for? And where does the food go after it is digested in the stomach. It is natural to assume that the main food consumer is our cells. Nutrients cannot be consumed by anything else, such as blood or lymph. If we feed the cells, it means that the cells should give signals about the need for a new portion of nutrients. Another interesting question is that, logically, all cells should work in unison and for the benefit of the whole organism. In confirmation of this, cancer tumors can be considered. As is well known, the cells of malignant tumors are in fact no different from ordinary cells. But they live their lives. And all they do is eat and multiply. Consequently, they do not respond to the general informational background in the body created by our brain. This year, scientists have received a prize for their contribution to the fight against cancer, it is probably worth paying attention to the information component of the processes. The information about human affairs is better, it’s worth looking for a solution in this direction.

"The Nobel Committee named the laureates of the 2018 Physiology and Medicine Prize. This year, the award will receive James Ellison from the Cancer Center. Md Anderson of the University of Texas and Tasuku Honjo from Kyoto University for "a discovery in the field of inhibition of the immune system for a more effective attack of cancer cells." Scientists have figured out how a cancerous tumor "deceives" the immune system."

Are you sure this statement is correct? For example, the red blood cell can only use glucose as a source of energy and not anything else such as fats as they have no mitochondria. Regardless of that fact, they do need nutrients to operate.

Red cells aren't they cells? The basis of any organism are cells. All that is not a cell, can not "think", and therefore eat. But chemical reactions and interactions are possible.
The main role in the life of the body are cells. All the reactions that occur outside the cells are not important and sometimes even harmful, for example, all kinds of bacteria or fungi can live there. All that is located between the cells is carrying and transport and therefore should not alter or disturb the original product. Target cell

Yes, if the red cell is the component of blood, then technically, blood can consume nutrient i.e. iron, vitamin B12, glucose etc.. Your statement state otherwise, or it is just some misunderstanding.

Blood cannot consume anything. This is just a colloidal solution. Only chemical reactions or mechanical reactions can occur in the solution. The blood cannot know and understand that it needs food or some elements, it is not alive. And the brain cannot control the blood. Nutrition needs only the cells that form the body. Therefore, all living organisms and feed. If the solution needs vitamin or iron, as you write, then it is placed there by cells, either according to a program recorded in their DNA or by receiving a command from the brain and with only one purpose - TO BLOOD REMOVE POWER TO CELLS. The process itself as iron enters the blood does not make sense to describe. But only through the cells. By the way, why do you need iron or vitamin or glucose in the blood, why do you need their population, where they are spent according to yours.
If it is not clear imagine drinking water in the faucet. To clean it, let's say add some kind of reagent and it becomes drinking. But the water itself does not need it. This is from the outside, a person makes her drinkable and with only one purpose, to DRINK.
A cell is life, and everything else exists thanks to cells, which are forced to create and maintain the necessary conditions for their existence in the whole organism.
And such a supplement if you want to eat, then your cells do not receive nutrition. Who eats a lot? Fat people. Why? Because the power to the cells does not reach. And the cells send signals to the brain: WE WANT TO EAT! But they get nothing. And the man eats and gets fat. If food from the stomach through blood, lymph and extracellular space does not reach the end point of the cell, then it should accumulate somewhere - that’s the result of fat and excess weight.

And then imagine, suddenly there is less water in the blood. How does water get there? Only with the help of cells. The cell is a rational organism, therefore it must eat. She can create conditions to fill the blood with water and maintain the necessary acid-base balance.
