HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS "LECHE PUTO"

I like to share a delicious and yummy Filipino Dessert.

Main Ingredients of Leche Puto
The Ingredients for the Leche Flan
• Five (5) Medium size egg and get the yolks
• One (1) 14 ounces can of condensed milk
• Two (2) teaspoons calamansi juice
• Two (2) tablespoons Butter Melted for the Flan

The Ingredients for the Puto
• Two (2) cups of flour
• 2/3 cup of sugar
• Two (2) cups of flour
• 4 ½ teaspoons baking powder
• 1 ¼ cup water
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Four (4) medium size egg get the whites

Process to make
The first part is to make a Leche Flan

  1. Prepare the molder and apply lightly melted butter using a brush and set it aside.
  2. Have a little water on a steamer and bring to a boil.
  3. Have a bowl and combine the condensed milk, egg yolks and add some calamansi juice.
  4. Stir the combined ingredients circular motion until smooth and well blended.
  5. Fill molds 1/3 of the flan mixture and put it on the steamer.
  6. Steam the flan at low and steady heat for about 6 to 8 minutes or until the flan is no longer liquid form but make sure it is not fully set.
  7. Remove the flan from heat and allow to cool it.

The second part is to combined the flan and the puto

  1. Meanwhile, have a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  2. Have a little water and egg whites. Stir it together until just combined
  3. Add puto mixture over the flan, filling molds almost to the top.
  4. Steam on low heat for about 10 minutes until the puto has risen.
  5. Remove it to the heat and allow to slightly cool.
  6. Gently remove Leche Puto from the molder
