Final Sketch
Normally I'm working in just one or two pencil colours, but this time I thought I would expand on that.
I was reasonably satisfied with the end result, and so went outside to spray it with fixative. I had bought a new brand of fixative that I'd not used previously. Much to my horror, it had far more pressure than what I'd expected and thus blasted away some of the subtler parts of the drawing. I had to then attempt to repair what was lost.

Very beautiful, everything is beautiful with a talented artist
Thank you @magnata.
I love the eyes and the glow on the chair's feet. This looks amazing, and it looked good in process as well :)
Cheers Donna!
I knew this painting, but it looks really .... interesting in your style, as if it had come and stepped over into modern times with its essence....
the expression and hunched pose is captured well, leo
i love the strange relationship between the priestess and the gas that came out from the fissure...
A wonderful piece <3
The painted version is next.
Looks good, somehow it reminds me of ancient greek priestess, or Pythia the Oracle.
You got it! It is a sketch of John Collier's painting, "Priestess of Delphi." I plan to also make a painted copy of it as a study. There's much to learn from other artists.
Know that feeling, when killing those nice and fine moments on drawing @leoplaw. Still this one looks really good.
C'est la vive! I think I got off pretty lightly... or the pencil did. ;-)
Wow nice work :)
