Celebrate Bitcoin Day

Last week I was introduced to the truth of Halloween. While children ask for candies and bob for apples, the sinister origins of this makes the idea of celebrating it distateful. Similiarly it is rather distasteful to celebrate Passover with all of those Egyptian children being killed by an angel of death or were they assasins? The United Statesians celebrate Columbus day, John Barret, a well respected pod caster known by all old time bitcoiners, pointed out some dug up facts about Christopher Columbus. It turns out he was an enslaver of nine year old girls into prostitution.

Let's designate October 31st, this year and into the future, [Bitcoin](Satoshi Nakamoto’s Brilliant White Paper Turns 9-Years Old) day.

We should not celebrate villians or pizzagate style rituals of the past. Instead we should celebrate ideas that promote lasting freedom.

The lasting meteoric climb of bitcoin over the last nine years has surprised me many times. According to some experts in money bitcoin should climb to three million dollars a coin.

What about the Altcoins?

Although the Altcoins are in many ways superior. Bitshares, Ether, and Steem have interesting features because those who wrote it had the benefit of the experience of bitcoin. But Bitcoins have a much greater network effect than any other cryptocurrency. Even with Steem nearly at 400,000 members. Bitcoin remains the one with the most market cap.
