Well things seem to be getting better and better, I'm pleased to say I'm just working through each level bit by bit, still on the cloud levels and tweaking things but fairly soon I will be onto the space levels if things keep going the way they're going. What has been great about the playtesting so far is I'm actually finding the gameplay challenging, now how challenging I want it is going to be the trick to making sure it ends up being a good game.

If people remember awhile back I did make a post about difficulty but I think I'm just going to wing it and see how it goes according to my own preferences. If the game is too hard or too easy for people then I'll definitely introduce some content patches and yes, they'll be for free I've always hated the way games developers break up games especially for content that they've already made before release, I find it incredibly cheeky because they're actually charging you more than the original retail price for a game that's split up and the base game completely suffers because of that.

It's even more objectionable when they do it with multiplayer because it segregates the communities that have formed up around the game between people who will pay for these DLCs and people who refuse and don't want to shell out money to a games developer that's screwing them over. I definitely don't want to do that, anyway, I'm going to make these playtesting topics just to give you an idea of the progress and how far along I am.

I am also considering posting up information about the steamworks SDK and how I'm dealing with that it's a weird backend system so I suspect if people are wondering about a simultaneous steam and cryptocurrency release on my website that's probably not going to happen. What I will be able to do though is immediately upload everything onto my website so that should be a fairly quick process.

Once I've done all this playtesting, it's just the patching to test and I'll update the issue tracker accordingly.
