Rabbit and the moon - Play Testing 7

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

I have very little to do now, I have just finished getting all of the settings done for my asteroid platforms so they're all rotating in the space levels, you'll notice I've missed out one or two, that's precisely why I'm playtesting to make sure I don't miss anything.

The next task for me is going to be playing through the entire game and making sure I can collect every single one of the collectibles so I know that my design isn't borked somewhere. It looks like I've created a similar difficulty to super meatboy which is nice, people seemed to quite like that game I don't know whether or not this will have the same appeal but all I can do is just upload the game and see if anyone is interested in it.

There are three annoyances that I need to fix which have cropped up during playtesting which I will deal with and shouldn't take a huge amount of time I think and it will make playing the game more pleasant generally.

. The animations don't transition well which is why I just have one playing for now, I need to tweak things as I've mentioned in previous posts

. The random playlist I have isn't quite random, I'll need to talk to programmers about how to fix it, the track always plays one specific track I've had to put in as the first one so I'm going to have to mess with that

. There's no options menu, now this one is fairly obvious at the very least, now I don't think it's necessary with how simple this game is to have a resolution changer because you can do that when the game launches in Unity's default launcher so I'll leave that in. However the music and sound is an issue and I want to make sure that people can change the music and sound volume to their liking as you'd expect in a game, or if they want to turn things off altogether

This is literally all that's left, they're fairly minor issues, so unless something nasty pops up I should be able to deal with it all fairly quickly! Then after that all that's left is the patching to test but I'm going to be releasing the game once the content is all finished so people can play right away rather than having to wait while I mess with patching software.
