Free Your Burden - Relieve your stress.

in Steem Entrepreneurslast year
Hello and welcome to my blog post today which is about a contest and theme is *Free Your Burden*. Poeple often complain about someone to their confidant and we have a wonderful community here to listen to our grudges.

Complaining is a form of a "coping mechanism" to relieve stress.

Excessive complaints can be a negative sign of one's mental health.

I have got the two guiding statements to write about the contest theme. Let me begin by confessing that I heard these two valuable statements for the first time, and I agree with both of them strongly. Here are my comments on a lighter note:

Poor Support from Curators

I believe that the current curation strategy followed on this platform is very discouraging, especially for beginners. In the last week, I posted four times in the Steemit engagement challenge, but I ended up receiving no support. Therefore, the conclusion I draw from this lack of support policy is that it is a mere wastage of time to create content here, especially when you have many other things to do in your life. I could have devoted that much time to some task in my real life and could have achieved results that may not have been necessarily materialistic or monetary.

It is not only the contests where no support was given to me, but I also ended up receiving nothing in my Diary Game posts. As a result, I started posting only a few times a week, as and when I am free.

Curator Bias

Some (not all) curators, while rating posts, grade them based on reputation and not on the basis of quality. Users with lower reputation end up getting lower ratings, while users with higher reputation end up getting higher ratings despite the quality of their posts. I believe the curators have a preconceived notion that new users can't create quality posts, and the curators have to show their seniority and superiority over junior users. I have many examples to support this argument.

It is mandatory for senior curators to guide new users like me for us to succeed, but the guidance should be genuine and only focused on the aspects that are weaker, not on the overall work. Additionally, if anything positive is found, that must be highlighted and appreciated.

Poor Guidance Mechanisms

Nothing other than the Newcomer Achievement Program is available for newcomers to stay motivated. Once the Newcomer Achievement Program is completed, users are left at the mercy of God and keep wandering here and there. As a new user, we need support for some time so that we stay motivated and encouraged. I think I am done with complaining now.

I'll conclude by motivating myself, saying, "Dear self, look at the users who are getting good support from curators and have good reputation. They were also newcomers once, and they had similar complaints and difficulties. It is their dedication and perseverance that's paying them now, as hard work never goes unpaid and unrecognized. Dear self, stay consistent, work hard, and your time will also come."

Thanks.
