Trump VS. Bezos (government vs business)

Trump wants the USPS to raise the postage for Amazon shipping because trump doesn't like the owner and the fact that they are getting low postage rates? First off his campaign manager said in a tweet that an increase would crush Amazon's bottom line, I don't think this will happen as they only use USPS as the last leg of the delivery and use UPS for most of their shipping needs already and all this would do is force them to go 100% private shipping. That would hurt the USPS far more than Amazon I'm pretty sure.
Also Amazon has been starting there own shipping and now even getting into delivering their own packages. Amazon could take all that money it gives to the USPS and dump it into their own shipping and delivery and cut the USPS and UPS completely out, causing a lot of economic harm to both the USPS and UPS.

I thought Trump was all about deregulation and letting companies do business so they could thrive and create jobs and jobs jobs, jobs, jobs right? Would you want to hurt an existing business that creates jobs in the US and is about to create more?

I think Washington should stay out of business and let the market handle itself, and we might actually have a good free market. Now I know there are issues with Amazon and those things should be addressed but I think it would be difficult to find a perfect company especially when they get to the size of Amazon and one of the biggest reasons companies get as big as Amazon is the government giving special treatment to certain companies.

There are some concerns about Amazon destroying small business, and that does happen. However the only business that will really hurt will be business who sell products in competition with Amazon (which is a large range of product I get it) but many people are working with Amazon and making good money selling there goods online. So many of those small businesses are welcome to sell their goods there or even use other online selling platforms to continue their business. Web based business is big and getting bigger so most of these people would have more than likely been pushed into online sales one way or another. And if your upset with Amazon and their big business practices, where is all the outrage for Walmart and their big business model of taking tax breaks from local governments and destroying entire towns of small business? And I'm sure Walmart has some shady production of their products over seas somewhere and they too are venturing into the online sales arena.

I have to say I find it funny that a part of how Amazon saved money and was able to expand was using the USPS and the low postage rate they give Amazon, and now because of that government entity and the decisions they made Amazon has grown beyond them and they cant control it. Just another reason why I think government needs to get lost.
