Some Impressions from Cappadokia
In 2012 I had the opportunity to make a journey to Turkey/Cappadokia for 10 days to make an article for a journey journal in Austria. Cappadokia is a very impressive landscape with a long history.
2 vulcanos created this aerea some million years ago with several serious eruptions which made a 150 meter high tuff bank spread over 100 km2.
Erosion, wind, snow and temperature formed a fantastic caleidoscope of "fairy chimneys" Stone figures ....
since over 7000 years people live in this land and made hollow flats, villages (also until 60 meter underground) and in later times christian churches.
the underground cave churches contain very good preserved paintings....
the rocks are colorful like they where painted....
In this desertlike surroundings you can find very delicate flowers in springtime...
sunset and sunrise are an eternal theme in photographie....
Wow! That's so beautiful.
Thank you!
