Chestnut Thrush - Birding / Wildlife
The chestnut thrush is a beautiful bird of thrush family. They are habitants of western Himalayas and southwestern China but also visit Margalla hills frequently. They live on high place of Margalla hills so I hiked 4 Km to to see this bird. Its natural habitat is temperate forests.
They live on high altitude area of Margalla hills. They are extremely shy and travel through bushes. They mostly accompany other thrushes or Grey-winged blackbird. As they are found near rock edges so its difficult to photograph them.
They are migratory birds and like to live in shady places and also near stream. They don't like human presence so you need full camouflage to observe this bird.
