Telenor: A New Race in Telecom Technology
Hello Steemians!!
Here is my third post which is about the Telenor company which is expected to be the master player in the coming years as a Telecom Industry as it is expected to write a new history in the Telecom sector with its developed technology. Please scroll down to check out the updates!!
We all are using 3G & 4G Technolgy and we all have seen a good speed while using Internet in our day to day life. If we talk about the 4G then the average speed that we see is between 40 Mbps 70 Mbps in the parts of any country.
Well 4G is a very good and quite reliable technology and can be provided by any network. The limit of 4G technology which any network can provide is maximum 350 Mbps and above that it is not supported by 4G Spectrum and that is the reason many different companies are working on 5G Technology.
The news has been received from different media sources that Telenor in collaboration with Huawei has completed its 5G Technology in-lab testing few months back. The next step will be taken by them will be testing the 5G speed in a practical environment, since the earlier test was totally lab controlled.
Compared to 3G and 4G in 5G we will going to see a great difference in the data rate. If we talk about 5G, the speed we will going to notice here will be around 70 Gbps. The main thing to note here is the laptops/gadgets/mobiles that we use at present is not ready to support 5G speed because of their hardware design. Suppose if you somehow able to download any file from the internet in 5G speed then also the files will not be stored in your device because the hard-drives that are connected to our device is capable of writing in a much lower speed than that of 5G data rate speed.
So, it’s hoping that when 5G Technology will be developed then the memory cards/hard-drives that are used in our mobiles/laptops for storing data are also needed to increase the writing speed so that this high data speed of 5G Technology can be utilized fully.
We all know that Telenor is a Telecom company which is not just limited with a country for providing its services, it is an international brand. It is a Norway based company and has completed its test in it’s Norway lab only.
Apart from the high-speed data rate of 5G Technology the other benefits that a user will going to find will be that their device battery will be consumed less in 5G Technology unlike 3G and 4G Technologies. The other benefit that the users will be benefited with will be Latency, you can understand the Latency term as a time during which your mobile shifts from one tower to another, for example- you must have noticed while travelling in your bike or car the data speed of your mobile are slowed. The reason is during that time your mobile is getting switched from one tower to another. But in the 5G Technology it is believed that this switching will be on instant basis which means you will not be able to notice when your device has been switched to the next tower from the previous tower.
Telenor and Huawei are believing that by the year 2020, 5G Technology will be in the hands of the consumer. But I personally believe that it may take little long time to make it establish in few countries because the main problem is not about the data rate, it is also about the hardware support capabilities which cannot be ignored as I already have mentioned in the above paragraph of this article.
