The Church of Uzundzhovo, Bulgaria, in 10 colorful pictures
Greetings, travelers, let me take you today on a visual trip to the beautiful church in the village of Uzundzhovo.
The village is known as the biggest open market in Southern Bulgaria in the past.
One of those "converted" purpose structures, going from Muslim to Christian through the centuries... Still having some stone-carvings in Arabic letters as you would see below.

I think anyone who has been able to visit this place or similar one is lucky. I, who am rarely impressed by things native to my country, was deeply impressed. There are so many magical things there that are not even related to religion. They are the spirit of history, bad or good, but it has left its beautiful mark. There are also other magical things there, more related to spirituality than religion again. And the architecture is gorgeous!
