Why do we complicate it? Imprinted by LightCaptured
Greetings, friends!
By "it" here, I mean "life" in general.
I am absolutely certain we can all live better, simpler and happier lives.
Nevertheless, we don't do that. We always complicate it. We deliberately make everything more and more complex. For instance, my annual tax declaration that I filed today. This year, it has new tables, new stuff added. It is so sophisticated that I had to talk to accountants and lawyers before feeling it is ready to be filed. The most interesting stuff is that the process is so complex that if I talk to more people about it, I get more confusing and contradictory information. So I am sure that everyone who fills that tax form themselves is praying there isn't anything hugely wrong.
As there are grounds for different interpretation, there are grounds for "mistakes" and fines. I just hope I don't experience that.
This whole process took me so much energy that after completing it I feel really exhausted. I am good with math and I have some experience in the field, probably my Master of Sciences degree also helps. So I imagine, people who cannot do it either pay so theirs is prepared and filed, or they just don't file it.
The easiest way is to just get a regular job, from 9 to 6 and don't have any other income. Then the employer is obligated to file that declaration on your behalf.
A nice way to sweeten the modern slavery called employment, right? :) And that's just one "tiny" detail of our "modern" life.
OK, let's cut to the chase now. The beauty can save the world.
Beauty does not need complexity. It is, what it is... Nature knows best!

Ha ha, that made me laugh. Do you think this really helps? Today I mentioned in my post about our massively illiterate and not very educated population. But the truth is that when I enter a bank for example, or deal with a government institution, I feel very stupid too. Because things are made, I think, deliberately so complicated that no one can understand them. And the population is forcibly pushed in the opposite direction of development to make things even more difficult.
Regarding the tax returns, I have heard that they are made extremely complicated and every year they get more complex, but in such a way that even ordinary tax officials cannot cope with them and are not aware of what needs to be done. So the possibility of a fine is not very high. But why it was done this way is anyone's guess. One of the possible reasons is precisely this - a person is forced to return to the stream of employment, where the employer will prepare all his documents while paying him the low salary...
There is only one cure for this problem, my friend, and that is called emigration. 😃
Your nature pictures are gorgeous as always!
Well, I agree on some of the things you say and yes, higher education helps, at least you know when you're being screwed, lol. And why do you think it's very different in other countries. We people have the same flaws, no matter where ;)
Thanks!
Yes, humans have the same flaws by nature, but it depends on the environment in which we grow and live, whether these flaws will manifest themselves. In my posts and reflections, I have come to the conclusion that a lot depends on where you live, even with whom you communicate, because this determines your worldview, your way of life, your way of thinking and acting. When you live in a totally messed up and poor country, where everyone is looking to cheat the other, and that's what the state does the most, how does that affect a person? And when you live in a more normal country, how does that make him feel and act? I can see from your photos that you have traveled a lot, don't tell me you don't know what a normal country means and don't tell me you don't know how a person feels in such a country 🤔
And after all, you're the one who started the topic, I'm just continuing (maybe because I'm very frustrated the last few days) 😅
There are good and bad deeds everywhere. Probably would be common to say good and bad people instead. It's probably that good people here are more passive. Or they got tired and moved elsewhere, as you say.

I agree with you that life could be simpler and happier. However, this seems like a challenge as we often tend to overcomplicate things. Maybe it's part of human nature, or maybe it's because of the society we live in
Thank you and true! These two for sure, probably a lot more factors involved as well.
Don't you just LOVE it when you pay people to clarify things for you and you end up being even more confused than you were when you started?! haha!!! :D
Yes, humans are indeed very good at making things unnecessarily complicated!!! It is like it is in aid of creating this "facade" of being more efficient when in fact it is just plain overkill haha!
So, you have some experience and a level of advantage - can you imagine the chaos in other peoples homes... people who don't have a CLUE where to even start?!! Like me.... hahaha!!! Oh wow! Its crazy really, because I am sure there are countless people who cannot afford to pay someone to help them and end up doing it ALL wrong because it goes over their heads.... so the officials receive info which is wrong, which then requires additional communication with the tax payer - all completely unnecessary additions.
What ever happened to the saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it" lol!
Anyway, on a lighter, more positive note... LOVELY photos as always!!!
Thanks so much :)
What can I say, yup, I "LOVE" it, heheh :)
My wild guess, some internal subconscious aspiration for making ourself look useful and at least seem we have some purpose :)))
Looking at its practical side, paying to get different opinions is a sweet consulting (low-efforts and high-paygrades) business.
Or, wait, it is perhaps a matter of feeling powerful and able to make someone's life much harder... I think, for myself, I'd rather beg on the streets than take a full-time bureaucratic job. :)

Thank you and so true.
All this actually reminds me of the Parkinson's law, have you heard it :)
Какой из трёх законов?)))
«Работа заполняет время, отпущенное на неё»
«Расходы растут с доходами»
«Рост приводит к усложнённости, а усложнённость — это конец пути»
В какой-то мере любой из них подходит к бюрократии )))
I meant this one :)
"Parkinson's law is the observation that public administration, bureaucracy and officialdom expands, regardless of the amount of work to be done. This was attributed mainly to two factors: that officials want subordinates, not rivals, and that officials make work for each other"
Если бы они ещё работали, а не имитировали рабочую деятельность)))
У них только одна задача - освоить выделенный бюджет и вторая - сохранить кресло под задницей.
Всё остальное их практически не волнует ))
True :) Their unwritten moto is probably "do the minimum so don't get fired" :D
... и бери по максимуму в карман ...))
