Hello everyone. How are you all? I hope everyone is well by the grace of God. I am @linda6 . I have already posted my introduction post to this Steem Greet community .

This is my Achievement 2 (- Learning the Security - CMP2020 Explanation and Sample Post) . Since I'm new, I don't know much about Steemit. Even then I have a challenge here that I have to say well about the key (#sequrity) and what I know is to write here. I am telling you here as far as I know. I went to this link when I wanted to sign up at Steemit. And by going to the link I signed up. And the Steemit team then send me a link to my Gmail address. They gave me a password and told me to save it and said that it could not be recovered .
So it have to be saved offline. So I saved it carefully. This is my main password. Then when I went to login with this password, they asked me to enter the wallet.
I used the username and password when entering the wallet. And there were many different passwords. Those passwords were the posting key, the active key, owner key and memo key. From here I can learn a lot. I mean there was a description written about all these keys.

You can find all the key from here:

AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND FROM READING THE DESCRIPTION IS :

Posting Key

When I need to post or comment on something, I will need this posting key.

you can find it from here:
Screenshot (244)_LI.jpg

you have to login with posting key for commenting or posting :

Active Key

Which is then done with the active key. I need this key if I want to transfer SBD or steem . Again if I want to do SBD from steem and steem from SBD then I need Active Key . And again there are many apps that require an active key for verification. It is needed for many more purposes. I don’t know so much since I’m new here.

Here you can find your active key:

Some example of its requirements :

Owner Key

Then what is the owner key? That's what it's all about. With owner key we can reset our posting key, active key. You can recover your account. This is what I found out after reading the description. If there is any mistake, you must tell me.

here you can find your Owner key:

Memo Key

Then comes what we do with the memo key. If I want to send a message to someone.

Here I sent a message to @cmp2020 :

You can find this key here:

This was my idea about the key. If there is any mistake in this post , you must tell me. I'll be happy. Thanks .

Hey @linda6 you are doing a great work you are adopting fast that's the spirit keep up the good work friend! #steemon

Hello @linda6,

Almost everything about this post looks good! I will add several things.

The posting key is also used for voting (you may have known this, but you only said posting and commenting, so I wanted to emphasize that)

The memo you sent me did not require the memo key. In order to send an encrypted message, you must put a "#" in front of the message. Here's what the encrypted form of that message would have needed to look like:

"# Hello! cmp2020"

memo key real example.PNG

Here you can see my response, but you would need your memo key to see it in your wallet.

That being said, I think you have a pretty good understanding of key security! I ask you to move on to the next achievement: posting etiquette.

You have been upvoted by Steem Greeters from STEEM POD Project and we are voting with the Steemit Community Curator @steemcurator03 account to support the newcomers coming into steemit and to reward content that bring value to steem community as a whole.

Weldone @linda6. This is so great to see that you know how to carefully handle your steemit keys.

One more thing. It has come to my attention that it might be possible to steal your keys through these images. I would highly recommend you change your keys, and refrain from posting an image of them (even if it is drawn over) again.

ok sir, thank you for this information.
