I would appreciate it! A ticket to a wedding.

Hello, everyone! Today I am doing something that I do not think I have done before. A couple of months from now, in August, I am invited to attend a wedding. I call it a steemit wedding because I met the groom through this platform. Right now we work together, as curators. On the whaleshares discord channel. We have a lot of fun during the live curation shows we host!

@Nikflossus has invited me and all of his curators to his place. During the event in which he will tie the knot with his beautiful wife-to-be. Yes! A wedding! And I really, really, really want to go! It will be possible, I know it! Because I am not canceling my trip. No inconvenience will stand in my way! Yes, I am going no matter what. Still, I would like to ask you to help me crowdfund for the stay. Steemit is my primary income and at this point, I am earning enough to cover my everyday expenses. Plus, a little extra. My horse-riding (20 euros a month) and the bus to get there.

I will be able to scrape up some money for the trip no matter what. I might have to skip on buying some things this year. But I really would like to go and so it is my priority. Mainly because I have made friends with this amazing steemian that I would love to meet in real life. Also because it is a wedding. In France. Plus, Nik is a fellow writer. Somebody who has walked the steps that I am yet to explore.

For those of you who do not know, I am more of an introvert. I choose to spend my days with myself most of the time. When I go riding with my horse, we go alone. But I do require some fun people activities to not get depressed once in a while. And, as I have met the best people on this platform I intend to meet as many as I can from here!

There is also a fair chance that Nik is not going to be the only person from steemit there. The wedding invitations have traveled far and I hope @Kubbyelizabeth can make it, too! Even when she lives halfway across the world. She is such a sunny person. I would not miss her contagious presents for the world. To meet her and make friends. For reals, in real life.

I am writing this post to let you know that I am going. No matter what. The idea is already in my mind and I have bought an affordable wedding guest dress. However, I would appreciate your help! A vote of yours will mean a lot to me. Right now, the cheapest solution that I have found is approximately 340 euros (410 USD) for the trip. Not including food.

• My train ticket is 100 euros (50 one way). The flights were a 100 euros more expensive so I opted for multiple trains and a bus.
• The Airbnb is 133 euro for 7 days. If we take a place for three people, Kubby, me, and my boyfriend.
• The car rent that is a must as the place we are visiting is not very accessible with other transportation. The cheapest option I found is 300 euros for a week. So 100 per person.

That comes up to roughly 333 euros. There will also be gas and food expenses, of course. As well as some emergency cash needed. But I think we can make it. I do not want to ask for any more than I need. Heck, I was not intending to write this at all. But I acknowledge that sometimes asking for help is necessary. However, if this is not your thing, I completely understand.

We all want to go to places and travel. Have things that we long for. And we all work hard to acquire them. I do not like asking because I know that. And I know for some this will not be an acceptable post. I do not want to power down again. And I will do most things before reverting to that. I think I might be able to if I am consistent.

I know, a lot of places are wonderful but I love France. I have been there twice and it has stolen my heart. I have also been to a huge wedding only once in my life. So that is something that I wait with great excitement.

The people there, though. That is what I am really looking forward. The people I have made friendships with here are some of the greatest and I am excited to have the opportunity to meet face to face.

Otherwise, I am doing good. My writing is improving. I think and hope. I am feeling somewhat stable and would not change my life for anything because I am doing what I love. Even if I am earning just enough it is good. I chose my path and I know I have made the right decision. Everything else will come.
