Iraq's corrupt elites trying to secure themselves with help from Iran
If you read a lot of news, you probably heard about the protests in Iraq against the corrupt puppet regime controlled primarily by Iran and the US. So far, they have killed over 300, yes 300 people by firing live ammunition on unarmed protesters.
A large number of people were killed by Iran backed shia militias who sniped protesters in Baghdad. It is important to note that these same militias also received weapons and ammo from the US government back when ISIS was active in the region. They were also involved in numerous attacks on Sunni civilians.
However, most of their attacks were not made public as that would have tarnished the relations between them and the US or western forces. (It's not terrorism if it's done by a political ally)
What Iraq needs is a political order that represents the people of Iraq not foreign forces like the US or Iran.
