Icy portrait

Painting an ice queen is not something I set out to do but I guess it's in line with all the scam movies I've been watching recently on Netflix. I'm going to review them on my other account when I have more time. For now, here's the result of some drawing time I had whilst watching Netflix today.

Like I said earlier, this was not exactly what I set out to do. I'm a little tired of browns and yellows so I decided to experiment with some pink underpainting this time.

I then began to fill in the base colors

I wasn't too sure of the background so I changed it multiple times till I settled again for blue

Because I like incorporating light to my work, I set the final background to the glow mode and used the airbrush tool to paint over the right side to get the effect you can see above.

To get the 'icy' piece, I played around around with the hues and saturation.
