Today marks the first day of my crypto trading career/adventure.

I have been involved in BTC for a few years and have always been a ¨hodler¨ with the occasional sell-off when I needed some cash.

After reading a lot about crypto trading I decided to use some of my BTC to buy some altcoins.

I spent most of the day reading news, forums, articles about which coins will / should generate a nice short-term ROI and decided to buy 9 coins, here are my reasons for buying these 9 coins:

NEO: My main reason was China.. Several articles mentioned this project as the open source blockchain project for China. I figured that the Chinese government will at some point open up on the crypto legislation and if this happens NEO could be a good contender to become the dominant coin in China.

BTS: After reading the Documentation on their website I liked the technology and idea behind the project.

TRX: This is a very short-term investment for me, I read about Pet Planet (Cryptokitties V2) and about how this game could go viral (especially after the website gets translated into English) and that TRX is the coin used for this game. The coin has seen a huge rise Today ( 4th of January) and I am hoping that there is room for more growth.

ADA: I was told about this coin several months ago but never really bothered looking into it. I now read into it and liked the idea and the team(s) behind it.

IOTA: With a huge rise of the IOT I figured this could be the coin to lean on this success.

XRP: I am no fan of centralised currencies but with this coin being hyped by pretty much every big news outlet I am expecting it to jump a bit higher before (hopefully) dying a slow death.
