Art Update
So I have been working on a lot of different things. I have been upping my studying in art and doing some extra figure drawings (my last post on gesture drawing kind of shows that). Along with that I have continued to learn ZBrush. I've also started to play around with blender (just learning it's mess of a UI first), and how to code in C++. I've kind of been in a rut lately, and I want to understand as many aspects of game development as I can.
On top of this, I've slowly been working on my comic as well. So here is one giant art dump of everything I've been up to the last five days.
First, lets start with ZBrush. I wanted to see if I could take a design from concept to model. So I started with this concept here of a Tiger-Man warrior person (the tutorial I'm following had a Lion/Human character and I didn't want to directly copy them).
So I painted the above concept as a starting point for my 3d model that I am working on in Zbrush. Here is where I am at with the model at this moment:
I'm making progress and learning a lot of really cool things to make zbrush more effective for me (or, I guess, me more effective at zbrush).
I've also been studying the human figure. There is nudity here so be careful.
I was really trying to work quickly and I knew I wanted to finished product to look like traditional oils or something like that.
I've also been working on my comic and I'm about to finish page 6 of issue 2. Here is a random page that I have not shared yet:
All in all, I've been really busy. And I have client work on top of it all. But you have to push yourself if you want to improve. Now, I'm going to go rest my eyes for a bit. They need a break.
Man, @logananarchy, it is impossible for me to not upvote you 100%. You literally check every box for things I love with your art.
I really enjoy both the fantasy and the figure work! Very well done!
