Week Two and Six Week Health Challenge - A walk to a healthy life
The next round might not be about walking or running as one of the best exercise one should spend time to in order to become physically fit anymore, so I decided to create another entry for this week’s challenge.
Since I had another wonderful walk with colleagues I wanted to share it here and hopefully could inspire others to do regular exercise in order to get away from illnesses, or shall I say to keep away from seeing your doctor every now and then.
I had an experience and history of elevated blood pressure as well as cholesterol level since 2015 that is why I was a regular visitor of the hospital almost every month which I really don’t want to experience again as much as possible.
In the 2017 I am grateful I made it to almost one whole year without seeing my doctor. That means at least I am fit during that time, no complaints whatsoever when it comes to my health.
But late last year I had experienced again recurring mild headaches and later found my blood pressure was high as well as my cholesterol level. So I am again scheduled to see my doctor in a few days.
Well perhaps the reason was I lack exercise, I mean I don’t do regular walking or any form of exercise.
Now from the challenge initiated by @healthsquared and @sweetsssj I am inspired to really do some walking regularly because I want to stay fit.
Since we have our company service vehicles we rarely had the chance to do walking for a particular period of time. Maybe just a few steps from our home to the car and from the street to the office. It will only take us a minute so it’s not in any way considered as an exercise.
What you will see in the photos as attached here was a short walk which we did from our accommodation to the highway. Aside from my planned regular walk every other night, we do this also every Friday.
I find walking if we make it social beneficial as it promotes camaraderie among us and also a chance to meet people from different walks of life.
Aside from the fact that walking per se could lead to a lot of health benefits, like lowering blood pressure and keep it at a normal level, promotes healthy heart, lose weight, etc.
I also took pictures of the buildings/views we passed by please see below.
I also love the skies above, I kept on staring at the beautiful blue skies above while look!
So keep walking everyone, if you want to stay fit and healthy.
God bless!
