Mango is one of the major cultivable cash fruits in Bangladesh. It is an incomparable fruit with its varied uses, nutritional value and taste. Mango is the most popular fruit in this subcontinent. So mango is the best of all fruits. Mango is the most popular fruit in Bangladesh. It is not comparable to any other fruit because the excellent variety of mango is very interesting in taste and smell. Mango is a fruit that can be eaten in all conditions from small to ripe. People who don't like mangoes may not be found. That is why many call me the king of fruits. The area under mango cultivation in Bangladesh is increasing day by day. However, there are several obstacles in mango cultivation in our country, if they can not be overcome, mango cultivation is not profitable. The various pathogenic problems of mango and their control management are discussed below-

Anthracnose: This disease affects young leaves, stems, buds, buds and fruits. The leaves have unevenly shaped grayish brown or dark spots. As well as a few spots come together to create large spots. If more infected, the leaves fall off. Black spots appear when mango buds or flowers are infected. When the flower is infected, it dies and falls off. Fruit bearing is disrupted when buds are infected. When mango is infected in small condition, black spots appear on the mango. Infected small mangoes fall off. The symptoms of the disease do not appear when the germs of the growing Ame disease attack. Ripe mangoes cause grayish brown or black spots. If the weather in the warehouse is favorable, the disease can spread rapidly. Mango infestation is more prevalent when there is frequent rain and cloudy weather during the growing season.

Remedy: Diseased or dead stalks should be pruned and burnt. Diseased fallen leaves and fallen mangoes of the tree should be collected and burnt, if necessary buried under the ground. In order to prevent the attack of the disease in the buds, the fungicide of Mencozeb group should be mixed at the rate of 2 g per liter of water and sprayed well. Buds 10-15 cm. If it is long, you have to finish the first spray. If mango is like pea grain, it should be sprayed a second time. Insecticides and fungicides can be mixed and sprayed together. In order to keep the growing mango disease free, spray the fungicide of Mencozeb group or Acrobat MZ at the rate of 2 gm per liter of water or Bavistin at the rate of 1 gm per liter of water 3/4 times in 15 days before 15 days of mango collection

Immediately after planting the mango from the tree, after immersing it in hot water (5 minutes at 550C temperature), it should be dried and stored in hot water.

Stem rot: When the mango tree starts to ripen after falling, the symptoms of rot disease appear. At first brown or black spots appear on the stem. The spots grow rapidly and become round and spread around the stem. The germs attack the inside of the fruit and cause it to rot. Infected mangoes are destroyed within 2/3 days. The germs of the disease enter the mango through other injured places besides the stem and rot the mango.

Remedy: Mango should be picked from the tree on a sunny day. Care should be taken not to get hurt while planting mangoes. 5 cm. (2 inches) Mangoes with stems reduce the attack of this disease. After planting the mango should be removed quickly without depositing it on the floor of the tree. Immediately after planting the mangoes are soaked in hot water (5-6 minutes in water at 550) C) or stored for 5 minutes in bavistin solution (1 g per liter of water) and stored for 5 minutes to reduce the incidence of stem rot disease.

Mango gum drop and sudden plague: Mango gum drop and sudden plague are the most common diseases of mango trees now. Because the infected tree dies in a very short time. At first light brown to dark brown glue or juice starts coming out from some parts of ka- or thick dal. The most affected tip or branch dies within a few days. A few days later another dal was seen dying in the same way. Thus at one stage the whole tree may die.

Remedy: If the tree has dead or dense twigs, it should be pruned regularly. Remove some of the healthy parts, including the affected area of the glue or juice, and apply Bordeaux paste (100 g of mulberry and 100 g of lime can be mixed with 1 liter of water to make a paste). Infected pulses should be cut and burnt along with some healthy parts. Bordeaux paste should be applied on the cut part to prevent disease attack. When new leaves emerge on the plant, fungicide of Mencozeb group should be sprayed 2 g per liter of water twice in 15 days interval
