THC Godfathers / Bud & Leroy
The Big Thinker / Malcolm X, who was one of the largest and most influential African American personalities in history, was an icon of the "Civil Rights Movement", but for the multi-instrumentalist, singer Quincy Jones, who has run with all The Holy Rollers (Frank Sinatra. Michael Jackson. Ray Charles. Malcolm X. Elon Musk. Truman Capote. Buzz Aldrin. Prince. Tupac. Even Leni Riefenstahl), Malcolm X, was "Detroit Red" the weed dealer of the Midwest.
Some of that "Detroit Red" #Weed have made it's way into the hands of The Godfather, who smoked up with Quincy Jones after a show one night. The Jazz Musician, Quincy said after he met The Godfather for the first time:
He had a red fedora on, had just smoked a joint. He'd just done A Streetcar Named Desire, and he was going up to Harlem that night.
The Godfather / His Name Is Bud
They called him #Bud, which was his own nickname as he was a Junior. He is Marlon Brando Jr. (April 3, 1924 – July 1, 2004). He was an American Oscar-Winning Actor, recognized as one of the greatest film actors of the 20th century.
He was noted especially for his roles, from the films A Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront in the early 1950s. His acting style, combined with his public appearances as a Hollywood outsider in the 1950s and 1960s, had a major influence on the younger generation.
His Academy Award-Winning performances include that of Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront (1954) and Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather (1972).
Christian was the eldest of Brando's children, born in 1958 to Brando and his first wife, Anna Kashfi. Their marriage ended amid Brando's serial affairs, and the exes battled for years over custody of the boy. Kashfi drank, and Christian was experimenting with #Cannabis and alcohol by age 13. According to biographer Stefan Kanfer, Brando told his son that:
If he was going to drink bourbon and smoke pot, he could at least do it at home, 'in front of me.'
Marlon Brando & Weed #Funny Story
Marlon Brando strolled into a bar in one of the blackest of black neighborhoods in New York. After he bought some weed and went in the #Joint, he saw five girls there with a guy, he said: "I'd like to dance." He took one of the five girls out on the floor for about 30 minutes, without he did realize the guy was a pimp. Marlon had a blast, but the pimp wasn't impressed with him wasting his employee's time. Quincy said:
Marlon looked back over and the guy was staring at him, right? He'd smoked a joint so he got paranoid, you know, so he went back over to the guy and said, 'Look, I was a gentleman, man, I came and asked you first, man, right?' And the guy was not looking at his face. He had a toothpick and was looking at his belt buckle. Said: 'The name ain't man, it's Leroy. L-E-R-O-motherfucking-Y.' At that, Marlon turned around and freaked out. He got outside and ran 15 blocks, nobody after him. So we called each other Leroy till the day he died.
