Un very special greeting for you on this day Sunday!

I can do everything in Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

Many confuse that number verse.
Where the Apostle Paul declares: I can all things in Christ that strengthens me.

When we look at that verse, then we think about blessings, conquests and victories, material goods like house, car, promotion, new employment, marriage and related.

All this happens in our mind when we read this verse.

But the truth is that this verse, that little statement of Paul has nothing to do with material blessings and much less spiritual blessings.

We learn to misinterpret the expression of the Apostle by saying: I can do all things in Christ that strengthens me.

To understand the true meaning of this passage, let's see what Paul says earlier:

I greatly rejoiced in the Lord that at last you have revived your care of me;
of which you were also lonely, but you lacked the opportunity.
Philippians 4:10

He declares to be happy to know that through that letter the brothers of the city of Philippi will go back to remember Paul one more time and that leaves him very happy.

If you had not remembered before, but now remember because of his influence and the apostle makes the issue of quoting that he feels happy only with the fact of being remembered.

And then he declares:

I do not say it as of necessity, because I have already learned to be content with what I have.

Paul was referring to the help that the Philippians had already made in his ministry, indeed, the Philippian church always contributed to Paul's ministry

And that's why it's important to make it clear that he (the apostle) is not looking for goods or any financial help.

But yes, the sweet memory;

For example, when Paul was in the city of Philippi he was arrested along with Brother Silas and through that jail the jailer along with all his family was converted to the Lord Jesus.

From there, there will certainly be many moments of communion between Paul and the other brothers in Philippi, next to the jailer, a woman named Lydia had also become.

And remembering those moments of communion with the brothers is the reason for the joy of the Apostle Paul.

And to sustain and strengthen his argument he declares full of pride:

I know I am despondent, and I know I also have abundance;

in every way, and in all things I am instructed, both to have abundance, and to be hungry;

both to have abundance, and to suffer need.

What a beautiful thing to hear about a Christian.

Imagine your child saying that you already know how to live without money and also know how to live with money?

Certainly you as Father, would be very proud of the maturity of your son.

Can you imagine God in heaven?

Paul is saying that he is prepared to go hungry if it is the case, or to suffer needs if it is the case;

He is well educated and his survival is guaranteed with or without abundance.

And that is precisely why Paul comes to make the famous statement that we all already know.

To conclude his reasoning he says:

I can all things in Christ that strengthens me.

That being the case, Paul is talking about resistance and not blessings.

When he says that "all things are referring to endure all things, this means that he is strong and endures everything because Jesus Christ strengthens him.

Pablo is saying:

In Christ I SUPPORT everything In Christ I WILL WATCH all things In Christ I RESIST in any storm!

May I and you be like the Apostle Paul.

To have in God forces to endure any trial, any struggle, to face any storm and survive any crisis that comes upon us.

Alone and simply because the Lord Jesus Christ is the one who strengthens us.

God blesses your life, your family and your ministry in the name of Jesus.

Very well dear Lorennys, it is a very good message that warns us that there are verses from the Bible that are misinterpreted.
