A BLISSFUL LIFE

In a world full of uncertainties, changes in life is the only thing that remains to be certain. Life is meant to be lived like a rollercoaster ride. It has its ups and downs, happiness and sadness and victories and sorrows. What lies in between define and shape who we are as a person. Many says that life is always unfair but I do believe that it needs to be that way for us to learn the value of contentment and simplicity. Like a diamond, it needs to be polished smoothly and finely for us to appreciate its grandeur and beauty.

Its been 28 years of rollercoaster ride. Thank God, there are more ups rather than downs. I think its just a matter of perspective and mindset. Lucky I am born and blessed with a God-fearing family believing in the simplicity of things. I grew up not getting and having all the things I wanted. I am not blessed with fancy toys and collections but it does not make me feel sad nor deprived. Its just a matter of contentment and diversion. Instead of getting busy with Barbie dolls, I read books. Our family may not be perfect but I appreciate and feel grateful for its imperfections. My parents may not spoil me with material things but I feel that I am loved, respected and valued.

Theres no greater joy than having a baby in the family. It was a wish that came true. Last 2010, a cute bundle added in our family. Being the only child for 20 years, nothing compares to the excitement to took care and carry a baby sister.

Aside from family, I am grateful for being surrounded with good friends. I believe that the group of friends we have somehow define who we are. As the saying goes, Birds of the same feathers flock together. I admit that I choose my friends because I deserve to have good people around me. These are the persons who can bear my complicated personality. I can be as sweet as an angel but I can also be as monstrous as a monster. (just kidding.. 😀) They can withstand my temper and Im thankful for that. Im really grateful for these people because I know I can run to them when Im in need, I have a shoulder to cry on and I can have ears to listen on all my unending stories.

I am blessed with family and friends that guided me and accepted me for who I am. 28 years in this journey was never easy but with God's intervention and support from them, it was lighter. And now that I am a teacher, my pupils bring me joy and inspiration to be a better version of myself. I can now attest that being a teacher is the noblest profession. You keep on guard for kids entrusted to you. Its as if I am a mother of 40-70 pupils for one year. Its always tedious but it brings fulfillment that many are learning from me in the same way that I am also learning from them.

There may be things in life that I still hope and pray to happen but I know God has his own plan and as His faithful steward, I am willing to wait for it to happen.
