A Walk in the Fog
Yesterday was a bit frosty around here. The air has been damp lately so when the temperature drops at night...
Wait, am I really about to explain how frost works? 🤔
Breaking news, water freezes when cold! You heard it here first folks.
But what to write about then? I need words to go between my pictures you see. As you all know by now (if you follow me that is), that this is how I format my posts. Pictures separated by words.
Did I just go "meta" there?
That was an actual question by the way. I don't know what the word meta really means. I'll look it up...
The most relevant definition per Google is the following:
Meta. (of a creative work)[WHICH THIS IS] referring to itself or the conventions of its genre, self-referential.
That... wasn't very helpful to me. I don't think I went meta but I'm still not entirely sure. Okay by now you can probably see where this is going. I clearly have nothing to say and have no business making a post at all today. Wait, but I like the photos I took and want to share. I think the frost and the fog are quite cool and created a neat sort of effect in the photos. Hmmm what to do...?
Maybe it's best if you just glaze over the words and only view the pictures.
For the truly astute of the group, you may notice that my photos thus far have been in descending order. What I mean by that is that I was walking forward on the path when taking the pictures but now I'm posting them in reverse as if I'm walking in the opposite direction and looking back.
It's all very complicated and complex of course.
I didn't actually set out to do this though it just sort of happened. I noticed it at some point along the way and then rearranged the ones that didn't follow the rule so that it all worked out.
And it was all just to be able to make this comment. Nice!
"Wait, did he just complement his own idea? I think he did. Well that's ballsy."
Filler filler filler. Okay more filler filler filler.
Oh here's something. The photo above was taken of the same location that I posted previously (a few days ago) but during a different season. Actually, several of the photos above were done like that. That's kind of neat...right?
This part of our walk was particularly cool looking. For realz.
I like to throw a "Z" onto the end of words now and again so that people know that I'm legit. I've also been known to drop the "L" on the word cool now and again. Coo.
The fog was very dense in this location, giving the trees an unique look about them. It reminded me of a tree graveyard or something.
The temperature this winter has actually been quite warm overall, sitting between 8-11°C and on rare occasions dropping down to 2-4°C.
Last year around this time we actually had snow for a few days, two I think.
We've maybe had three days of snow since we came to France.
It never lasts very long though. It always melts pretty quick.
This year has been much warmer than last year. Three days ago we actually saw a rose in full bloom on our walk around our house. I think it's confused by the weather.
