"Revival produces restoration"
Hello friends of Steemit, in my daily posts related to @steemchurch I will present you in a fun, fresh and very dynamic way the gospel of our Lord Jesus. So get comfortable and get ready to know a little more about the word of GOD that is not only for old people or with time in the ways of the LORD. Thank God for the life of the leader @sirknight.
Hello friends in the previous post talk a little about: "For revival you need repentance". But I was disturbed by God to share a little more about the revival, so prepare your heart for God to speak to you.
NOTE: Each believer must analyze the area in his life that needs to be restored.
Read 2 Chronicles 29
King Ahaz was an evil man who closed the temple of the Lord and openly adored other gods. I get to the point of sacrificing some of their own children in the fire. Because of his wickedness Jehovah punished him (2 Chronicles 28: 5)
Under the leadership of Ahaz, the spiritual life of Israel had declined a lot. After 16 years of Ahaz's reign, his son Hezekiah succeeded him on the throne of Judah. But, unlike his father, he was a wise spiritual leader who knew how to recognize the symptoms of spiritual illness in the people of God. Hezekiah knew that his father had abandoned the Lord. In order to make the preparations for the revival, he had the place of worship repaired, cleaned and rededicated to the Lord.
- In a revival the sanctity of the people of God is restored: 2 Chronicles 29: 3-5: "He opened the gates of the house of the LORD and repaired them ... And he said to them ... sanctify the house of Jehovah, the God of your fathers, and take sanctuary the filth. "
The temple was closed, it opened the doors that were old and broken and I repair them. Today the temple symbolizes my life. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit, our interior must be repaired, everything bad must be removed from us, that is old and must be restored. Vs.16: "They took out all the filth they found in the temple." We must check our interior. What is in our mind? We can not praise God and have a parallel life where we still carry out shameful behaviors.
- In a revival the relationship with God is restored: 2 Chronicles 29:10 Hezekiah makes the decision to make a covenant with God. There was a broken relationship. Hezekiah decides to restore that relationship, to approach God again and to implement it through a covenant. A pact or agreement, implies at least the existence of two people, with a set of rights and obligations. God always fulfills his part, never fails. We must be faithful and upstanding before our Lord.
In a revival the adoration is restored: 2 Chronicles 29: 25-29 When we have a fresh encounter with God our way of worship changes, it is not our external manifestations, but our attitude towards God. When we sing we feel a special love for Him, when we close our eyes, we can feel His presence that envelops us in a torrent of love and peace. It is very important in our life to worship God "at all times" (even in everyday trials and struggles).
In a revival the offering to God is restored: 2 Chronicles 29: 31-33. They offered abundantly for the house of God. When a group of believers returns to their first love for the Lord, their offering is a faithful reflection of that love. Often the problem of the offerings is nothing more than a clear symptom of a broken relationship with God.
Hezekiah "did good, right and true before Jehovah his God ... he did it wholeheartedly and prospered" Hezekiah 31: 20-21. God wants to say the same of each one of us. Let us approach his presence to restore in our lives what has been damaged by the passage of time.
