Watercolor Artwork #16: Glide in the Galaxy | Learn how to paint with me with STEP BY STEP PROCEDURE!
Greetings Steemit community! Here is my sixteenth (16th) artwork. I'm still exploring new techniques. Well, ths is my first time to paint like this where the whole paper is occupied with load of paint.
So I was testing to see if I was able to make a galaxy with my watercolors and this happened.
WORK-IN-PROCESS
First, follow the technique shown below using pencil as this is an easy guide for controlling the color (division of light and dark).
But before using watercolor, lets attach this first on each side of the paper.
Purpose: to protect the excluded areas while working.
Next, when the tape is already applied you may now start to paint the side with black coloured paint.
When you reached to the boundery, make the color lighter in this part.
For the next layer, mix the black and violet coloured paint.
Apply the lighter color again.
As you are going near to the center part of the circle, keep using the lighter paint. You can still have the brush you used for the dark color (black+violet paint). Just soak it in water to achieve the dirty white colour.
Add white coloured paint for some areas to give lively color combinations for your subject.
To complete the galaxy look, add these bright stars by just making dots with white coloured paint.
Scatter it. Well this part needs a lot of your patience so bear with it but I promise you that you will going to be amaze after what you have created.
Afterwards, add this ballerina look-like.
See how she glides. Use black coloured pen in this subject but you can also use paint with rigger and round brush.
Lastly, stick out the tape to see how you made it so well.
Tada. Achieved!
Have you seen what I have seen? Its like she's coming to reach and grab the Steemit logo!
Getting back to the right track!
I stopped making art stuff when I get to college but because of this platform, I've learned to explore more about my talent in drawing and painting. I've also learned more techniques and ideas by posting and sharing my arts here. I'm kinda weak in comes of color but I'm over it since I found Steemit and now, I live in the world of arts again!
Here in Steemit, I'm always happy to share! -@lullettematz

Yes my friend, my support is always there for you friend ..
Looveeelllyy.. Someday, I'll make better and advanced watercolor artworks like you @lullettematz. I have started with the basics and have blog it. I'd like to know what watercolor pad you are using? I just happened to saw your blog just now as it was resteemed by @surpassinggoogle.
Berkely watercolor pad is great for painting @trydaily. But I find it too big especially when you will just need a small scale for your subject. Can't find a smaller one though. I also use ordinary sketch pad. You can purchase it at National Bookstore with a cheaper price yet still have a good quality.
Anyway, thank you so much @trydaily! Just followed you. I want to see your upcoming art blogs. ~(^з^)-☆
HAPPY STEEMING!!!
Ohh I used the same watercolor pad and bought it National Bookstore as well. *High-five
