According to multiple cryptocurrency news portals it was learned that Changpeng Zhao (CEO of Binance) took to X (formerly Twitter) to make a statement on a point of contention with the SEC.
Recall that "Binance launched Binance Custody in 2021. Ceffu was later renamed after Binance Custody. In March, a Binance spokesperson told Cointelegraph that Ceffu was its independent institutional custodial partner."
In this regard, "Ceffu posted a statement on its website on 15 September refuting an SEC assertion in a 14 September court filing linking it to Binance.US. Ceffu stated that it provides services "in select jurisdictions, excluding the United States, among others".
Last and not least, "In its 18 September court filing, the SEC referred to Ceffu as a "mysterious Binance-related entity" and noted that Binance.US has been inconsistent in its descriptions of its relationship with Ceffu in its dealings with the agency."
