My Blockchain Journey
Around January of 2018, I saw headline news about Bitcoins hitting a record high of 20,000 per Btc.😁
I wasn't really particularly interested in blockchains at that time. I din really understand the technology at all.
So one day I went to buy some etheruem without knowing much about it. It was about 800 usd a piece at that time. I just wanted to test and see if there was a possibility to buy any cryptos. I din even know that there were so many different crypto currencies. Well, in that trade I made losses but it wasn't much. Around usd 8 perhaps.
One day, my sister told me about steemit.com which she said was a site that her friend had used and he has never worked since joining the platform.
So I just joined and after two weeks, I got in. Well, I was only introduced to two dapps by my sister. It was steemhunt and musing. I just randomly posted some stuff at steemhunt and it got me some Steem. I did not understand all these and what it meant.
I wasn't that active at that time and was kind of busy until I stumbled upon this book at a bookstore at around October when I had this extra cash, I stumbled across this book.

This is a good book about everything from the disruption of the different industries to what the future holds for Blockchains. So far I've read half way as I stumbled upon another book.

This book tells the whole story from the day Bitcoins started out with Satoshi to the millionaires that it has created.
Reading the latter book made me really motivated. It was around November when I had suddenly just tried out Musing. I Answered a couple of questions and I was paid USD 1.50, it got me really motivated. At that time, even though I knew I was getting Steem, I wasn't sure how I was going to cash it out. I have found out ways you can do that in case your still new and would want to find out how. It took me many trial and error and I actually lost a couple of bucks testing out the different ways to do it.
I was pretty active in Musing everyday from November to December. Musing lost its delegation at the end of January which is sad. I was actually thinking that it would have been my part time hustle. At the moment, I am also actively participating in Steemhunt as the hunt tokens are going to be airdropped till May and if I am not mistaken, every 20 hunt tokens get us around 1sbd. It isn't clear yet but the released date would be around early May.
I have cashed out more than a 100 usd so far since the day I joined Steemit. One time I participated in an airdrop that was given by the blockchain Wallet and got 30usd worth of XLM which I converted to Ethers. More about it the next time.
At the moment of time, I am still experimenting with the various dapps to see how I could make this my part time hustle. After musing lost its delegation, my Steem earnings per week dropped drastically.
I have been using Partiko dapp which I have downloaded into my phone and it's pretty awesome. I used to write my blog entries and etc in the Firefox browser in my phone.
